Chapter 15

(Raven's POV)

*5 days later*

Boyfriend: You alright ma?

Me: Yes I think I'm okay. Just worried about my friend is all.

Boyfriend: I know ma, I talked to bruh earlier, he said she still wasn't talking and shit.

Me: Do you think we should try and go over again?

Boyfriend: I thought about it. We can try again if you want too. I wanna at least see her face again before I leave with my pops to Alabama tomorrow. I'll be there in 10, you ready?

Me : Yeah I'm ready, see you in a minute.

Boyfriend: Bet!

Its been a rough week. After our date last week,we got the call that Ti'yanna , passed away in her sleep . Turns out my baby had sleep apnea and nobody even knew it.

Janiya ,blames herself because she didn't pick up on any of the signs to inform the doctor in order to take the proper precautions.

I can understand how she could feel that way but in all honesty,how do you look for something to be wrong when there were no signs of anything being wrong.

But I guess being one of the people who was supposed to protect her and take care of her,she feels as if she failed at being a mother.

She's shut down completely, won't talk or eat ,all she do is cry and sleep .

I really don't know what to say or how to console a person like this. But I'm gonna figure out something cause I don't wanna see her do this to herself no longer.

Boyfriend: I'm outside you need me to come in?

Me : Omw out .

Hopefully this trip will be a success, the funeral was 2 days ago and she hasn't talked, eaten or even been out her room since.

I've cried and mourned, but I know I'm not over it,but I gotta put my feeling to the side to be there for my friend.

" Hey ma, You good?"

"I'm okay for now . How was your day?"

"It was cool, I helped my sister pack and chilled with pops for a minute, I was asking for advice on how to talk to Cyro.

I mean he say he cool,but I know he's just trying to be strong for everybody else. Eventually holding that shit in gone eat him up."

"So what advice did your dad give you?"

"He just said try taking him for a beer and talk to him like a friend, that the words would come."

"That is true. so how about you drop me off there and tell him to take a ride with you & y'all just go back to my house? Cause I got beer and all of that at home, you don't wanna be in public and he break down."

" That's a good idea ma, are you just gone stay and try and make her talk to you?"

"I mean I'm not gone force her to talk but I am gone try, if not I'll just sit with her."

"Cool hopefully you can get to her. Cause bruh worried she gone try to do something to herself."

"Why would he think that? Did she.... Nahh she wouldn't do that..... You don't think.. Never mind she wouldn't."
