Zane X reader (Minecraft Diaries)

The next day

(A/N)- hey y'all, I'm so sorry I haven't been posting more chaps to this, I'm kinda starting to run out of ideas, so please comment them! (And credit will be given, of course!)

The next day, Zane decides to teach you to hunt, and possibly if there's time, how to fight. He carries you into a hunting blind and gives you a bow, with his ebony black hair pulled into a short ponytail. He shows you how to hold the bow, and he helps you pull it back.

He says, "Okay, so. The basic idea of hunting, is to aim and kill an animal, so you can use it somehow, whether that be skinning it for its pelt, or eating it, all that."

You nod and say okay, though you already knew that.

Zane helps you aim for a pig. You pull back the bow, and kill it right then and there. You turn around, jumping with the bow in your hand because your so excited. He starts to jump with you, then takes the bow from your hands.

You say something like, "Hm? Oh, yea, right."

You and Zane continue jumping with excitement.

That's when the day went downhill for Zane. A guard walks in. He says, "High Priest Zane, there is a person at the gates, requesting to see you."

Zane lets out a small moan, the kind that says, "ughh I don't want to do this." He starts to follow the guard out of the blind as you follow him, grabbing his hand.

It's a long way to the gates, though you travel in silence. When you and Zane and the guard get there, you see that Zane is wearing his mask, and his eyes turn to an icy blue, showing an emotion that you haven't seen in him yet.

He drops your hand and walks forward, drawing his sword. You look at the gate, and see an old man with grey hair all over his face. You hear Zane's voice, sounding rougher than usual. "Why are you here? I thought I told you to never come back," he says. 

"Well, quite the welcome ye got there," says the man. "I thought ye would know better than to draw that 'we sword ye got there."

Trying to keep his cool, Zane says again, "Why are you here?"

There is a glimmer of entertainment in the old man's eyes. He looks familiar, and he gives you a bad feeling. You see a figure running full speed up behind Zane with a sharp looking sword. You draw your sword and run at the figure, and jab your sword through its neck. You draw your sword away from the figure's dead body and stand there in a frightened daze. You feel Zane staring at you in disbelief. You turn your head to look at him, and you catch his gaze for 10 seconds.

He turns around says calmly, "Guards, kill him."
