"I don't know really," I start as Jaydon pulls his bag further up his shoulder, "I think we should, what about you?" He laughs at my answer.
"I don't think we should be given a detention for not doing homework," he laughs, "who even does homework anymore?" I raise my hand and grin at him.
He stops laughing and his mouth hangs open, "No way!" He says his eyebrows raised, "yes way!" I reply.
"Breaking news, just in," he starts in a fake, and pretty bad, English accent, "Claudia is the only teen that actually does homework!" We both laugh and gossip the rest of the way to school where I'm greeted by Fin.
I wave Jaydon a goodbye before walking off with Fin to our first lesson. Amber soon finds Jaydon to walk with and it doesn't leave him with a positive expression on his face.
"Fin?" I start as we walk through corridors, "Why do you never hang out with anyone your own age? Like, apart from me, everyone you hang out with is older than you."
He scoffs a little before answering, "I've known those guys since I was nine. That's when we found out we had the same interests, so two years ago we formed American Crib, our band."
I gasp in amazement, Fin looks at me questioning my look, which makes me laugh a bit, "I don't see how its funny," he mutters.
"No, its not funny, it's just that my friend Tammy loves American Crib!" and he looks at me wide-eyed.
"Really!?" He questions in disbelief, "I thought we had a few local fans on YouTube but England know about us!?"
I nod my head eagerly wanting to find out more, "She said something about you lot going on tour I think," I say grinning from ear to ear.
He smirks a little before answering, "Yeah, but its nothing big."
NOTHING BIG!? He's annoying me now. Don't say its not big when it's a huge deal!
"My friend, Tammy, loves you guys!" I say enthusiastically, but he shrugs her off as a fan. A nothing.
Just as we reach the classroom door, Finley grabs the handle then turns to me, "Please don't mention the tour to anyone, they think I'm going on holiday," he pleads, I nod and give him a reassuring smile before we enter the half empty classroom.
I've never been too fond of art so I try to sit as far away from the teacher's desk as possible. Unfortunately there's not many windows in this classroom so I just end up staring at Fin for an hour or so as the teacher rants on about Van Gough and something or other.
