"What do you think about love, Elizabeth?" he asked shyly. Wait, was Aiden McKurty shy? That was first time.

"I don't know."

Good job, Ellie. Keep it short and cold.

"Really? You seemed to know a lot about it in middle school."

I couldn't help but looking up from the table. He smirked and touched my hand, but I pulled it away.

I knew what he talked about. It was the day I confessed my love to him.

...

"I've heard you like somebody," 7th grade Aiden said.

"Really? From who?" my head flushed red like a tomato. Or like Aiden pronounced it. Twomato.

"From Bridgit."

Note to myself: Remember to kill that girl tomorrow.

"Do you have a crush?" I tried to make the situation a little more comfortable.

"Yes," he admitted.

"Who?" I sounded like him for just two seconds ago.

"I won't tell."

"Don't you trust me?" I asked hurt.

"Of course I do. Just not about this."

"Is she taller than you?" I used the exclusion method. My friends always told me I was too curious sometimes.

"No."

"Does she do sports?"

"No."

Okay. I still had a chance. My heart was beating out my chest.

"Does she live on the same street as you?" I asked him.

He scared a face, before nodding yes.

"Yes," my brain shouted. It could now only be me or the blonde haired girl from Advanced English.

"Does she go on our school?" I would even be annoyed at myself, but he seemed just to laugh.

"Yes."

"Enough questions about me. What about your crush? Is he one of our classmates," it was his turn to ask.

"Yes," I admitted.

"Is he taller than you?"

"Yes." Almost all boys were taller than me.

"Is he..." he was about to continue our 50 questions about your love life game, until Jay came.

"Hi Aiden," Jay completely ignored me.

"Hi Jay."

"Hi Jayden," I greeted too.

"Elizabeth. Why do you keep staring at Aiden?" Jay asked out of curiosity.

A good way to break the ice. I'm sarcastic.

Again, I was ran out of words.

"Uhm...I don't," I lied.

"You do," Aiden agreed.

"It's two against one. That's unfair," I whined.

"Buhu. Go home and cry onyour momma's shoulder," Jay said rudely.

"Hey. Don't talk to her like that," Aiden stood by myself. My heart melted a little.

Jay pulled his hands over his head, like "sorry bro".
