Christina was literally dying. She was sitting in a classroom, staring at the hot teacher, and wishing that she didn't have to take this stupid test. She was so bad at tests. She could never figure out how to do those things. The poor girl had taken a bet with her friends over who could drink a venti frappuccino the fastest, and she had lost. Unfortunately, the loser had to take the 50 page test required to get in to Fletcher Prep Academy, aka Fletcher Prep. She glanced over at Nicholas Decker, the "proclaimed" smartest guy in the US. He was flipping through the pages of this test faster than her Instagram feed uploaded in good wifi.

When the cute teacher glanced her way, she quickly looked back at her test. The words blurred together as tears of sadness dripping down her face. It had been two hours, and she hadn't even figured out the first question. That's when Christina made a decision. It was a very important decision that would impact her life dramatically. She was going to guess.

Now, this might seem like a very inconsequential decision. In fact, this is what Christina did on every test she ever took. But this time, it was different. This time, it actually worked...

                               A Week Later
"Christina! Will you go get the mail?" Christina looked down at her drying toenails. Ugh. She just painted them! She didn't want to mess them up! Walking on her heels, almost falling on the stairs, Christina headed outside. The sun blared bright in her face. She pulled her Gucci sunglasses down off her forehead, and squealed as a beetle ran past her feet. Finally, breathless and sweaty, Christina reached her mailbox. Opening the mailbox, she pulled out a giant letter addressed to her. She closed the mailbox, then plodded back into the comforts of her home.

"Mom!" She yelled. "Can you open this envelope for me?" She called. Opening mail was a very good way to break a nail.
"Sure honey," said her mother with a sympathetic smile. She slit open the envelope, revealing a gold-edged letter inside. She stared at it in shock.

"Dang it!" Christina said. "I was hoping it would be a Hollister gift card or something. I don't care about this!" She said and started walking back to her room.

"Wait honey!" Her mom called. "You got accepted into Fletcher Prep Academy!"

"What's that?" Christina called from her room while she painted miniature hearts onto her toenails. Her mom walked into the room.

"It's the most elite prep school in the entire country! I didn't even know you took the test! Did you cheat?" She asked suspiciously. Christina was lost for a moment, then remembered the stupid bet she lost.

"Oh ya! I remember guessing on some really long test cuz I lost a bet, and then my friends and I went shopping afterwards!"

"Well, honey, this letter says that you broke the record for the best score. You got 100%! And you're going! I think this will be a good change for you!"
