Just a Mountain Away(from Starbucks)

Chapter 2- Fletcher Prep

After a long and grueling summer of having to fill out the application form, Christina was finally at Fletcher Prep. To be honest, going to this school made her look really good to her friends. She loved to brag to them about how smart she really was, and she even dyed her hair brown to prove it. The school was humongous! The sight of it overwhelmed her mind and she was scared to leave the ad building for fear of getting lost. Luckily, she lived only 30 minutes away, so she didn't have to stay in the dorm. There was no way she could survive there with their strict no skinny-jeans rule. She had just bought 5 pairs at the mall!

After getting settled into her classes, her life turned into a boring routine. The only bright spot of Christina's day was the Starbucks across the road from the school. Her and her new friend Ashley went together every day!

Ashley and Christina got along very well. One day, Ashley told Christina about the select choir at Fletcher prep. She said that they were known across the country for how good they were, and that Christina should join. She really wasn't sure because she didn't want that to take out of her shopping time, but eventually Ashley convinced her to try out. Christina did love to sing!

Ms. Delilah Petrovia was the acclaimed director of the select choir. During tryouts, Christina was very confused. Ms. Delilah kept saying the letters of the alphabet for some reason, and Christina couldn't figure out why! Whatever, as long as she sang the things she was playing, Ms. Delilah had a smile on her face. When tryouts were over, Christina still wasn't sure if she wanted to join this choir. Ms. Delilah had said that she had to be committed, and Christina had never committed to anything in her life if you don't count Starbucks and texting.

As she was trying to find her way out of the music building, she saw the hottest guy she had ever seen! He was absolutely gorgeous! Christina could hardly breathe. Her insides turned to mush and her hands got all clammy.

"What are you doing here?" She asked dreamily. Heart emojis were flying through her head.

The guy looked at her weird. "I'm here for choir, just like everyone else is..." He answered. That's when Christina realized that there were other people in the room she was standing in.

"What's your name?" She asked, caught in the ocean of his beautiful blue eyes.

"Lebi Rouge." He said, and then sat down in his chair.

"I'm joining choir!" Christina yelled for all the world to hear.

"Awesome!" Ashley called back. "Sit down over there next to Sara. It's about to start."

Christina quickly sat down. She had a perfect view of Levi.

2 Months Later
Christina was super excited! Today was the day! Select choir was going on a day tour all the way to Nashville, Tennessee. Christina had never been to Nashville and she wondered if they spoke another language there. But, the main reason of her excitement was that Levi was going too! This would be their first trip together, even if they weren't technically dating... She was convinced that he was into her though. Every time she stared at him, he rolled his eyes and whispered to his friends. She was sure that he was whispering about her!

Everyone piled into the large bus. The advantages of being in a prep school was that these buses had individual iPod docks for each seat! Christina couldn't believe her luck! Especially when the seat next to Levi was empty. She sat down in it as fast as she could! Levi immediately got up and moved to a different seat. Christina smiled. Her presence must make him nervous.

After a long, long time, Christina felt the whole bus jerk. She almost fell out of her seat! Her earphones fell out of her ears. What was going on??

"There's a flat tire!" Someone called. "Please just stay seated. We'll be back on the road in no time." Christina really had to pee. She had to go so bad, that she didn't think she could hold it any longer! Christina ran out of the bus, and behind a tree. She would much rather go out here than in the stinky bathroom on the bus. Ah! When she was done, she started heading back in what she thought was the right direction. But, she was only going farther into the woods! Where was the bus? Christina tried turning around and heading the other way. Oh! There was the road. Christina was almost there when she saw the bus start moving, leaving her behind!

"No!" She heard a voice call. Levi was behind her. "Come back!" He called yelling after the bus. He wasn't very fast, and soon the bus rounded the curve and was gone. Christina and Levi were stranded in the middle of nowhere.
