At 10AM, after Sally had recovered from the shock of what had happened 5 hours earlier, she switched on the TV.
"...Earlier this morning, local teenager Brent Johnson fell off the old pier in what is suspected to be a suicide..."
"The media always get things so twisted." Thought Sally, as she continued to watch.
"...And now back to Tim, who has Mr + Mrs Johnson on the live video feed..."
This was the first time she had seen Brent's parents, and although Brent had consistently described them as the sort of people that don't give a crap about their children, they looked genuinely devastated.Sally's mum called her for dinner, so she switched off her TV and went downstairs.
"We can go see Brent in the hospital, you know that, right dear?" Said Sally's mum in a comforting manner.
"It doesn't make any difference, mum, he's still dead" uttered Sally quietly, she hadn't eaten any of her food.
"Technically he's in a coma, so he might wake up"
"Shut up dad, you don't even know him!" Screamed Sally, who got up and ran upstairs, her hand covering the tears running down her face. That night Sally stared at the ceiling, waiting for nothing to happen.
