*beep beep beep beep *

I let out a huge groan and rubbed my eyes, as the alarm blared in my ears. I hit the off button and  realised my phone had 3 new messages, 2 from Jen and 1 from Zac. What does that asshole Zac want? Wasn't breaking an innocent heart bad enough. I checked the messages from Jen first because i wanted to wake in a good mood. 

*Hey  Jake, Jen here.

I was just texting to tell you how much you helped me last night. I'm sorry that you had to wake up that late at night just to meet me. I'll make it up to you meet me at the the diner after school.

k bye ^_^*

I was so happy i finally can hang with Jen without her stupid boyfriend tagging along wherever we went. But my mood immediately changed when i read the second text.

*Sorry Jen again I was wondering if it was okay for me to bring along the rest of the group. 

you know so it isn't too awkward.

Great I thought now my pleasant afternoon with Jen will turnout to be a packed afternoon with a bunch of people who are louder than a zoo. 

Finally I checked the last text from Zac... this better be good I thought. 

Hey bro 

i was wondering ya know if you could kinda cool Jen off so I can hook up with her again. You know a little favour for another bro. 

Thanks man I knew you would understand.

My mood was officially destroyed. I wanted to punch this bastard so hard that he would be able to use those lips to make out with any girl again. Walking to the bathroom I realized that the time was 8:30am. Shit!! only half and hour to get to school. I grabbed the closest shirt from my cupboard and jeans from the floor before rushing downstairs to gulp down as much fruit as I could. Taking the keys from the counter i ran out the house and jumped in the car. Chewing on a mintie for that "minty fresh smell" i saw Jen coming out of her house as well and by the looks of it., it seemed that she didn't get much rest either. Parking the car along side her i rolled down the window. 

"Hey Jen need a lift?" she wasn't paying attention because of her earphones glued into her ears. Hopping out of the car I pulled one of them out. She looked at me in a confused manner.

"Hey Jake didn't see you there"

"Umm yeah hi i was just wondering if you needed a lift"

"Sure so where's your car?"

"Right there" *pointing to the silver camry.*

"Cool let's go"

The ride to school was almost silent. I had so many things to ask her but it didn't seem important enough to tell her. When we finally pulled up at the school gates, we were separated because her friends crowded her bombarding questions such as Are you ok? I can't believe he would do that! You totally deserve better. And all that girl talk. 

The home room bell rang and students scurried to class. An so another day of my torturous life begins i sighed.
