Lucas POV.
"They were at it again. I had to get out, I know it seems as if it couldn't but it's gotten worse." I say looking down the whole time. I feel a delicate hand grab a hold of mine. I look up to see a genuine smile on her face, but there's a look in her eyes that tells me she doesn't want to smile at all. "Hey, I'm here for you and if you ever need to get away from it again, tell me." She says and let's go of my hand. I don't like the cold now spread in that place she held so I picked her hand back up. "Same for you Riley, you know I'll always be there, right?" I say not breaking eye contact with her. "Of course." She smiles now keeping a hold of my hand as we talk about how things have been. "So is there any reason you came here?" She asks me bringing up the question I expected. "Well, my dad found it better to move out here for his buisness and my mum also found that it would help with her writing and stuff. I didn't mind moving out here because...well actually...no...it was because I knew you where going to be here too." I say looking back down and then up to see her confused. "Lucas...when I said that I just want to and you cut me off, I was trying to say that I just want to know why you did what you did?" She asks me her eyes looking for messed up answers. "I don't think I can tell you yet but I will, when I feel as if I need to." I say explaining how it will come out when it wants to. "Till then can we try and figure things out?" I ask her as she stays silent. "No, I need to know why you'd do that after everything we'd had, to wreck it and then maybe I could bring my self to forgive you and we could work things out." She says, I understand but I just want things back to the way they were, I still loved her and I don't think I could stop. "Okay, I get it and I think once I've worked up enough courage to tell you why, you won't want to forgive me." I say and cut her off before she says anything. "But until then I still need you princess." I say accidentally calling her the name that I used to call her all the time. "I still need you to cowboy." She says tipping an imaginary hat. I laugh at her as she joins in, we both stop and I look down to see mine and Riley's hands still intertwined. "You don't mind this?" I say moving my thumb along the back of her hand. "I guess I can tolerate it." She smirks at me and looks down to hide her blush, why does she always do that? "Oh you soooo, love me." I say smirking at her and winking. She acts shocked. "In your dreams Friar." She says laughing and then her phone goes off. She shushes me and clicks the answer button. "Hey dad..." She says looking up at me and pushing her lips into a line. "Yes, I'm fine. I just wanted to get a cup of coffee with a friend." She says checking her self for the answer she gave. She nods her head as I hear muffled talking of Mr. Matthews. "I know dad it's early, but he needed me." She says quickly lying to her dad, I'm shocked, Riley has never lied to her dad before while she was with me. I grip her hand tighter. "Pass me the phone." I say to her and she hesitantly passes it over to me. I put the phone up to my ear. "Hello, Riley are you still there?" Cory says through the phone. "Hi Mr. M, it's Lucas." I say with a new found confidence towards him. "What?!" I hear him scream through the phone with his typical *Lucas Friar is with my daughter* voice, and I can just imagine his face...wow...this was going to be an excellent conversation isn't it.
Well, I've actually stuck to my word this time, so here is another update, hope you guys enjoyed reading it. I think I'm going to try keeping to this amount or a little more writing each time I update because it makes it a whole lot easier. Do you guys mind that?
Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if you voted and commented.
