Katherine and Jacks relationship went a little something like this:

When in doubt, make it out.

From their first kiss ever to normal every day ones they shared it seemed they always found it worked best to solve a problem. Both were outrageously stubborn and unwilling to back down from a fight, and not to mention that Jack had to constantly be a cocky son of a gun 90% of the time. So it was perfectly normal to find the two aggressively making out in random spots.

Or was it?

Katherine had grown up taught in the ways of scabs (or that's what Jack liked to call then) Katherine knew how she was supposed to act around people, of course, she hardly followed thoes rules her mother had once taught her but a bit of that always seemed to stay with her. Even though she held no same in pulling Jack down to her level and kissing him until she couldn't breath, there was always that little voice in her head telling her no. Perhaps that's why she did it. The pure joy of the chance that they might get caught pressing down on her and urging her to do what ever she could to defy her father.

Jack on the other hand had been raised completely differently. He hardly thought twice about bending down and kissing his Star Reporter. Already he was a very tactile person and had -he hated to admit this- but he did have practice in the art of kissing women before he'd even met Katherine. For him it was just something he liked to do, no strings attached... most of the time anyway. He took simple thrill in cutting her ranting sentences short with his lips. She'd always claimed to hate it when he did that but he knew inside she really loved it.

So when their stubbornness got the better of themselves and neither wanted to admit they were wrong they'd usually settle on yelling at each other until one or the other cut them short with a kiss. It always seemed to do the trick. Sure, most of the time it didn't make the problem go away but it would usually calm them down enough to at least talk about it.

So that's how it worked. It wasn't always easy. But it worked. So, once again. When in doubt: make it out.

Problem solved.
