"I CAN BE YOUR HERO BABY!" I sang. It sounded more of a scream.

"I CAN KISS AWAY THE PAIN!"

"I WILL STAND BY YOU FOREVER!"

"YOU CAN TAKE MY BREATH AWAY!!!" Dylan and I chorused. After a few more verses, we heard a car wail from a distance; we really aren't the best singers in town.

It's the weekend, finally! I thought. It means we get to relax and enjoy the day. On Saturdays, its either we sunbathe and go for a swim in Dylan's pool, or lie down on my roof and watch the stars. Tonight, we chose my roof.

"So what happened today?" Dylan asked, popping a strawberry in his mouth.

"Nothing much... We just had dress rehearsals and a club meeting." I answered with my eyes closed. I shivered then tucked myself in my jacket.

"Really?"

"Yep." I said, popping the P. "How's your day?"

"The usual... We had basketball practice, ate at a diner, played some more..." He trailed back.

Bored, I scratched the dry red-orange paint of the roof; some of it was coming off anyway. I hissed when I felt a tiny pebble dug into my nail. I quickly put my finger into my mouth and tried biting it off. I heard a chuckle beside me and saw Dylan lie next to me. I stuck my tongue at him and he flashed me one of his famous smirks, the one that girls at my school go gaga for. I narrowed my eyes at him and turned my gaze back to the dark sky. It was as breathtaking as before. Though there weren't many stars than we expected there to be; maybe because winter's already approaching. I sighed and closed my eyes again.

"Sad Stephen didn't show up at rehearsals today?" He teased. I can imagine him pouting his lips.

"No!" I lied. "It'd actually be better if he will not show up anymore."

"Why the cold shoulder C?" He asked with amusement. "Because Kate's going out with him and you're not?"

"Shut up." I mumbled.

He laughed and got closer to me. I felt his warm, hard abs touch the left-side of my ribs. He spooned me from behind and it made me snuggle my head under his jaw. At times like this, I'm really glad Dylan's my best friend; he always knew when I needed his cuddles.

"He surprised all of us at training today. He shot multiple threes. Coach got impressed, though most of us got annoyed at him, 'cause it looked like he was showing off." He stated in a bit of a cold tone.

"Scared coach might assign him captain next year instead of you?" I teased, pouting my lips. Then I realized he couldn't see me pout. I just bit my lip and waited for his answer.

"NO!" He yelled in denial.

I felt my ear drum vibrate, making me hiss at the pain. I looked up, wanting to glare at him, but I unintentionally knocked his jaw with my head. I snorted when he winced, making him glare at me. Wasn't I supposed to be the one glaring? I snuggled back to his neck, smiling at the switch of reactions.

"And besides, I shot nine threes out of ten, he only got seven. He's still six points away from me, and it will take him a long time to catch up to my awesomeness." He continued, in a more arrogant tone.

I rolled my eyes. I love him so much, but he can be a huge pain in the ass. I blinked; a pain in the ass... Then I remembered, Lee. There was something about what he said last week that caught my attention. What was it again?

Too bad. There's nothing you can do about it.

No , no, no! Not that! The one he said after that line.
