I rush it the door in a hurry. "veronica" my mom calls. " you forgot your lunch". " sorry mom" I say breathlessly. " I swear child you are hopeless". " sorry mom" I mutter. I burst out the door almost tripping on my cat pepper. moments later the bus drives up and I pile in with the other kids. When the bus pulls into the school parking lot i clamber off the bus and stopped dead in my tracks. A boy with emerald green eyes and dark brown hair stared me down like I was an enemy. Startled I briskly walked away. The hours sped by as I wondered about this strange boy whom i have never seen before. Lunch rolls around and as i walk to the cafeteria i bump into someone startled i look up into the eyes of the mystery boy. " I..I'm sorry " I stutter. Suddenly the world around me changed I was in a forest of evergreen trees. Song birds called through the branches. Then as quickly as it came the vision disappeared. The boy walked away silently. Leaving me to my thoughts.
