Oh, crap.
I picked up my chair to defend myself.
The leg of the chair sunk into her stomach when the girl landed. No blood was seen;thank goodness the chair leg was not sharp.
Lucille turned around, her anger slowing down a bit. She turned to walk away, and then went back and grabbed her lunch.
She was honestly hungry, but there was no way now she was going to eat in there.
She sat on a windowsill farthest away from the cafeteria. She put her tray in her lap and began eating the cold spaghetti.
She gagged and spit it out into her napkin. Nothing tastes good when it's cold. It tasted like crap with a side of crap, and for drinks we have a tall glass of crap.
Lucille suddenly lost her appetite and dumped her tray in a nearby trashcan. She started walking towards her next class when she bumped into Gabe.
He glared at her. "I- I'm sorry, I- I didn't s- see you there!" Stammered Lucille. She looked down.
Gabe smirked. She was a little surprised and thrown off by his reaction.
Neither said a word.
She started twirling her hair, then biting her fingers, then chewing her hair. She sneaked a glance upward and he was still there. Lucille hated this kind of silence.
He turned around and she could have sworn she heard him say "she's perfect.." Under his breath.
Lucille blushed and went to her next block.
-------------------------------------------
Lucille walked home. She looked at what little nature earth still had. Bits of meadows here and there. Little groups of survivor trees. People seemed so determined to destroy it all.
Lucille tore her gaze away from the scenery, looking both ways four times each, to cross the street.
An ominous-looking black car suddenly swerved to that street. She stood there with wide eyes as the driver was obviously drunk or something because he was driving on the sidewalk, right where Lucille was.
Lucille could barely let out a gasp as the car stopped abruptly, a fraction of an inch from killing her.
Gabe stepped out of the car. Lucille gawked. Gabe didn't seem like the person to break laws like that.
Gabe came slowly in a menacing way, like a snake about to attack its victim. Lucille didn't move for two reasons. One, she was deathly curious. Two, she was frozen in fear.
Curiosity killed the cat...
Lucille snapped back to reality. Gabe took out something that looked suspiciously like a dart gun.
Lucille heard a quick shot from Gabe's gun, and darkness encompassed her.
