Earth's atmosphere was beautiful.
Green continents met with the dark blue oceans while clouds swirled thickly over the lands. The young alien princess stared at her new home, where she would become a fugitive to the land. A literal alien resident among the vast variety of those who called it home. As much as she wanted to go back to her planet, she couldn't. That was where they would look first.
It was the sudden gravitational pull that caught her off guard, snapping her out of her trance. The pull was sending her down to Earth at a rapid speed she couldn't seem to fight against, no matter how strong she was. The speed continued to grow as she was hurled to Earth's atmosphere and soon it's crust.

"Let's go before the kid arrives." A masked robber hushed to his culprits, loading the bags of money in the trunks of their cars.
"If he does, I have something that will stop him." One of the robbers snickered, showing the gun he stuffed into the front of his pants.
"It'd suck if that went off." A voice from behind them spoke nonchalantly. The three of them turned and looked into the shadows, knowing exactly who it was.
"Sh-shoot him!" The first robber yelled as he continued to throw the rest of the bags of money into the trunk and ran to the drivers seat starting the car. Backing up towards the doors, the other two pulled out their guns and shot into the darkness, bullet casings dropped to the pavement one right after the other.
"Come one!" The driver told them as they piled into the car only to see Nightwing drop onto the hood, windshield cracking. "Shoot!" The driver yelled as the other two tried to load their guns quickly, with no avail. Kicking in the glass, Nightwing pulled forward both men in the front causing them to hit the steering wheel and dashboard, faces bloodied. The other held up the gun to Nightwing, point blank.
"I'm going to be famous for killing you." He spoke through a smirk that had Nightwing returning the gesture.
"Wishful thinking." His voice was deep and synthesized so as to hide his true voice. The criminal swallowed hard before pulling the trigger with his eyes closed; the sound of the gun going off was loud and alarming. Opening one of his eyes, Nightwing still sat in front of him as if nothing had happened.
"You really shouldn't shoot a gun with your eyes closed." He hissed before snapping the gun out of his hand and disassembling it in mere seconds. Reaching for the knob on the door and fiddling with it desperately, Nightwing slammed the butt of the gun into the back of his head, knocking him out cold.
Sirens could be heard not too far off in the distance as Nightwing tied the three criminals together, setting them on the side walk with the trunk wide open for the cops to see. The night was late and he could already tell he would regret his scouting mission in the morning. He had two exams that he had barely studied for. Not that he wasn't an excellent test taker or anything. Chuckling to himself he shrugged off the thought concerned no more. He knew he would pass with ease.
A loud sonic boom echoed through the city causing everyone including Nightwing to look up to the sky, alert and searching. A streak of a green light fell towards the foothills outside the city before there was an impact, shaking the Earth beneath him. Clenching his jaw, he hopped over the fence and onto his motorcycle racing towards the outskirts of the city where the impact took place.

Debris and smoke combined and swirled into the night air. All Nightwing could see was a giant crater that was about a half a mile in diameter. Trees were broke in half, some on fire as they led to the impact. Pulling his helmet off, Nightwing cautiously walked towards the edge of the crater, leaning over and looking inside. Leaning in more, the edge gave way and sent him toppling in rolling over himself until he stopped once it leveled out. Standing up, he squinted into the haze, blind from his surroundings until it gradually cleared.
Not too far in front of him, he spotted a human like figure laying on its side, back towards him. Furrowing his brows, he became concerned unsure if they were a victim or the cause. Quietly, he stepped closer toward the figure before being startled and stopping in his tracks as the figure very quickly stood up and began to levitate above the ground at about the height he stood; 6'1". He had never seen anything like it before. The enchanting light of green he had noticed darting down from the sky was now in front of him. What caused it, he was unsure. Nightwing could only imagine how dumbfounded he looked watching the figure levitate towards him stopping a few feet away.
It became clear that the figure was feminine and as the dust and debris continued to lift, he could make out that it was her who was emitting such a powerful and strange energy. Hands and eyes lit up as they stared at him, Nightwing feeling himself become more and more nervous as to who this person or thing was.
"Who are you?" He finally whispered, unsure if he wanted to hear the answer. The language she began to speak was none like he had ever heard. It was almost unearthly. When he began to step towards her, fists of green light cocked back shooting energy to the ground setting a boundary. Jumping back, Nightwing looked at the ground, then the girl and held up his hands. He was defenseless against that kind of power, but something told him he shouldn't give up. It was as if he was drawn to her.
"I promise, I'm not going to hurt you." He spoke softly as he stepped closer, the girl coming into a clearer view. Her eyes and hands continued to glow, but in a less intimidating way, her body language showed she was no longer tense. Nightwing looked her over noticing she was wearing a strange outfit; a black kalasiris with thick silver bracelets and plates decorating her toned arms. A dark green jewel hung from a silver chain around her neck and a head dress hugged around her forehead. The closest Nightwing could describe her as was a slave from Egypt.
"Where did you come from?" He asked only getting a foreign reply. "You don't know what I'm saying, do you?" He questioned with a sigh as he got closer, the green light she emitted subsided completely as they continued to stare at each other watching every move taken.
At a speed so fast, she shot her hand out and placed it around his neck forcing him to her, lips smashing together. It was a brief moment, but it was what she needed, Pushing away from him, he stared at her confused not realizing his mouth was agape from what happened. It wasn't as if a girl doing this was new to him, but it was definitely something he hadn't expected. A smirk danced across her lips, her eyes still glowed intimidating him still.
"Thank you." She spoke in clear English before she crouched down and took off flying through the air so powerfully it shook the ground and the trees she flew past. Nightwing continued to watch as she disappeared into the dark midnight sky, unsure what she had even been thanking him for.
