A girl was running from Banthus' henchmen, people who kidnapped children and sold them into slavery or prostitution. The girl was homeless and, with no desire to be caught again, took off running as soon as she noticed the men heading towards her.
She ran as fast as she could, crashing into several people. One person she took no notice of, but would play a huge part in her fate; a teenager with lavender-coloured hair and Nasod Dynamos trailing behind him.
The girl ducked into an alley in hopes of losing her pursuers, however they kept their sights on the young albino girl. Suddenly, she stumbled. Gasping, she skidded several feet on the rough pavement before trying to sit up, dazed and bleeding from several cuts.
"Look, found her!" The first man towered over her while beckoning to his friends.
"Oh, she'll sell. We might even be able to buy a decent meal after this one!" The second man smiled triumphantly.
"But isn't she albino? Do they want albinos?" The third man, who seemed to be a new recruit, expressed his concerns.
The last man shook his head. "Albinos are rare flowers. They break easily, and they always sell. Always."
The girl tried to back away, but only succeeded in collapsing. She was worn out from running all the time, and could hardly stay conscious.
"Look at her!! Let's bag her up and leave. I wanna eat!"
"Sorry boys, that isn't happening anytime soon."
A new voice made all the men turn their heads. They saw a man with navy blue hair, a blue suit mimicking a music conductor's tailcoat, cross-shaped earrings on pointed ears meaning he was either a demon or elf, and dual gun-blades with a huge cross-shaped sniper.
"I-is that Guard...?"
"Chiliarch is here too!"
A girl who looked no older than a 10-year-old stepped out in front as well. She had white, almost pink tinted hair tied up in pigtails poking out from her dark blue cape and hoodie, with a yellow and blue decorative pendant keeping it together, decorative boots with blue striped stockings, a huge gauntlet on one hand with claws that looked as if they could cut through everything, and her most prominent feature; a blue tail that whipped around with a sharp blade of it's own.
The girl vaguely recalled hearing that they were part of the El Search Party and that they had the titles Conductor and Summoner of Terror.
"That's Chiliarch? She's so small." Despite her obvious power, some of the men couldn't help but snicker at her appearance.
Chiliarch sniffed in disdain and smirked. "All the better to summon demons with, my dears! Oblivion!"
In response to her call, the ground erupted. Dark blue light illuminated the alleyway, and a dark blue... creature... clawed its way up.
Slamming its fists against the ground, the demon opened his mouth and a huge pillar of flame came out.
"GRAAAAHH!!" The men, scared for their lives, ran away as fast as they possibly could.
At this point the girl was rapidly losing consciousness. She was vaguely aware of Guard walking over and picking her up gently.
"Is this the girl Add was worried about? Ahh! She's so cute!" Chiliarch peered at her face.
"She has a fever, and she's wounded terribly. Let's go back and treat her." Guard said.
"Mm!"Chiliarch hummed her consent, and the two headed back to their apartment.
