It was Mona's last day here at Rosewood high. She jumped a little at the sound of the clattering bell and walked over to English class where she sat behind Dalton and in front of Maybelle. She organized her books neatly on the right corner of her desk and looked up at Mr. Fitz as he began to talk.

"Okay, class. For some of you I will see you next year, but sadly an amazing addition to this school will not be joining us again." Ezra said softly.

I shifted in my seat with a cheeky smile.

The class' eyes all turned to me. I didn't see. But I could feel each and everyone of them peering down at me.

"Mona Vanderwaal." He said.

I stood up and walked to the front of the class.

"Each and everyone of you made a huge impact on my life here at Rosewood." I started. "I've grown to love this place so much... But because of recent events my mom decided it would be best for our family to move. So we'll be moving about an hour away from here to Brookhaven. I hear it's a calm and beautiful place.

Some of you, I know, hate me.

But I love you all dearly.

I looked toward Hanna who looked like the only one interested. And quickly went into a flashback of us at the playground , i dropped my popsicle and Hanna offered me hers.

As soon as I know it, the bell rings and everyone gets up. Apperantly i'm still in a daze and Mr.Fitz has to shake me a little. I grab my pile of books and run outside where my mom is waiting to pick me up.

I am stopped by the four girls.

Hanna, the sweet, caring and fashionable one.

Spencer, the smart, witty and curious one.

Aria, the small, gentle, and bright one.

And Emily, the atheltic, strong and fun one.

"How dare you do this to us, Mona." Aria snaps.

I look at them confused.

"Do what?" I ask.

"Leave us here to be tortured while you run off and enjoy life. You're apart of this too!" Spencer exagerrates.

I roll my eyes, I'm leaving for a new start.. And you're welcome to join. I look them up and down and turn to walk to the car.

Hanna and Emily look convinced but don't want to leave everything behind them.

I get in the car and greet my mom and she drives off to our house.

I run inside and grab my luggage, bringing as much as I can into the car. My dad, My mom, And my brother, Mac, Loads the last of the boxes.

I stand outside my house and watch it as I think.

After I am interupted by my phone, I pull it out and read the message.

"Pour Mona, You can run. But you can't hide." -A

This text gave me chills. I looked around the streets. A couple kids playing football. A man walking his dog. A couple pushing a stroller. This town was normal. To normal. Thats why I need to leave. I got in the car and buckled myself up, looking out the window.

"Bye, Rosewood.." I put my headphones in and closed my eyes.

I awake myself from a deep sleep and look out the window.

"Ugh! This town sucks! Where are we? Ravenswood?" She waits for an answer.

Her dad clears his throat.

"Well uhm.. this is Brookhaven." He replys nervously.

My eyes widen. The sight burns my eyes. Towns lights are burned out, cemetarys at every corner, streets are ghost towns, litter everywhere. By the time i get out of the car and look at our new creepy house I decide to confront my parents.

"I am not living in this dump of a city!" I demand.

"Honey, I know it's not what you excepted but you'll grow to love this place! I know you will." She smiled sweetly and I wanted to punch her because of it.

I walked to the door steps. My feet gliding through the fog and the doorsteps creak. I try and get the door open but its locked. I decide to take a look out on the back. I can't see anything that is five feet in front of me because of the mist. I step onto the back porch mice crawl out from under the porch. I frown in disgust.

I hear something in the distance and I turn around. I see a black figure and my heart skips a beat. It walks towards me and I trip over the stairs. I start to get up but my leg in stuck under the porch I try and scream but nothing comes out. Suddenly the figure holds his hand out and takes the hood off.

"I'm sorry if I scared you!" He said.

He helps me up and I brush myself up. I look into his ocean blue eyes. And immediatly fall in love.

"Oh, hey. It's cool. I'm Mona."

He smiles.

"I'm Willy." He smirks. He is one of those guys where you can easily fall in love with.

" I just came to greet you to this town." He laughs and I get lost in his words.

I smile and he walks away.

Wow. He was.. wow.

I heard my phone beep and I looked at it.

"Mona always falls for the wrong guy to hard, doesn't she?" -A

An attachment is copyied into the message and I click it.

The picture is of Willy and I talking. I look to the left and see a shadow move into the trees. I run inside the house.

"Mom! I hate it here! Can we please lea-"

"No." I see my brother at the stairs.

"I like it here, Mona. It isn't the Mona show anymore. It's not always about you."

"Excuse m-" I began.

"Excuse yourself. I'm staying." He ran upstairs.

"What the hell...?"

I am forced to unpack my clothes and get settled.

I lay down in bed and read my book.

My brothers light is the last one to go out.

I read, focusing on the words. Until I hear a creak from the basement.

I get up and grab a flashlight, walking down the old, croaking stairs.

Jesus, I hate this house.

I walk through the kitchen and unlock the basement door i drop the lock and key on the counter and take my first step onto the stairs. It feels so weak and hollow that I already feel myself read to fall through. I walk down the stairs caustiously. And jump onto the floor, I point my flashlight around the room and see a thin string. I pull it and a light comes out. Hardly holding any light, its quite useless. I turn my flashlight off and pull out some old boxes from under the stairs.

The first one I open are a whole bunch of medals and ribbons, i toss them back in and open the other box, they are all old pictures, I go through a whole album and get sidetracked with time I hear a creaking sound from the stairs, I look up but focus back on the pictures. The light flickers and it goes off.

"Dammit." I whisper. I turn my flashlight on and notice a big picture frame, I hold it up and blow the dust off, I study it closly about twenty-five people are standing in front of this house taking a picture. Like a family. I set it down but a blonde haired woman catches my eye. I study closly and its her. Ali Dilaurentis. I gasp and before I know it the door slams shut and I drop my flashlight. I scream and start running up the stairs, the photo frame in my hand and I bang on the door.

"Help!!!! Help!!!! Please!!!" I hear something moving in the basement and as soon as I feel it close to me everything around me turns white. And I pass out.
