Erebus pt. 2

    Why did it have to be darkness. Why not end up in the Elysium instead of Erebus. Erebus isn't worse than Tartarus but it's pretty dåmn close. Nyx gave birth to Erebus the god of darkness and Erebus himself lives here. I came prepared because I have my stagnian iron sword. Wait Nico you have Bianca how are you supposed to fight if you have to carry her. The voice in my head said. My thoughts got interrupted because. SMACK!!! We hit the floor.
   There was a bit of light from a fire river. 'Wait what?!' I remember it from Tartarus, its the Phlegethon river. I noticed that the light was coming from that river. If the river wasn't there we would have been engulfed in darkness.
    I put Bianca down, I patted my pockets in search of ambrosia or nectar. I didn't know if it would work on a dea-, no a non-living person. To me Bianca was alive but not truly alive. Does that make sense? For me it does.

I found seven squares left. I only used one so if we got hurt there would be some left. I force-fed her the square. She woke up and at first she smiled at me but it just as it came it disappeared. At least she remembers so then there isn't a problem. "We should start moving they'll find us if we don't" Bianca said standing up. This would be so much better if she had a weapon. "Bianca, do you have a weapon you can use?" she nodded. She held out herhand and the bow came out of thin air. "Sweet" I said. No time to admire Nico get yourself together, I scolded. We started moving ahead, unfortunately the river was heading in the opposite direction so it was getting darker. We found a cyclops that I'm 100% sure wasn't Tyson. Bianca crouched behind a boulder and I followed her example. I sort of messed up because my sword scratched the rock. The Cyclops turned towards us. It was at least 4ft taller than me. It started running towards us. 'Run!!' was my first instinct but we would have to fight anyways so I stayed. Bianca shot an arrow strait at its knee. Why not the head. "Won't be able to move easily" she said as if reading my mind. I took it as an advantage and I charged. Bianca shot three more arrows. It was distracted trying to get the arrows off, I started to climb on top of it. Climbing is easy right? Wrong. He was trying to shake me off, swat me, and I misplaced my footing like twenty times. I managed to get on top of him though. I cut his shoulder, then I cut his head and he disintegrated. I fell and hurt my ankle. Bianca came rushing to me. She got the ambrosia and gave me a half. My ankle still hurt but it was only a little bit, if I put too much weight on it then I would feel my left leg about to buckle.

    We continued walking. In about four days we fought (and obviously killed) 3 Cyclops', 2 empousa, 1 drakon, and a hellhound. We were wondering around in a forest and I was hungry. I hadn't eaten in 5 days counting one from my visit and four from being in hell.
     We found a place to settle in and Bianca took first watch and I was okay with that because I am so tired. Did I mention the only light was from her form. It was good that we could see a couple of feet ahead but that made us an easier target in this darkness.

Bianca pov

I was taking watch while Nico slept. I was hearing something like a snake but I chose to ignored it. It was probably the wind...but there was no wind. I stood up now fully alert. I woke up Nico. "Five more minutes" he mumbled. I slapped his hand. He woke up and groaned. He stood up, yawned but then he paused, I guess he heard the noise too because he drew his sword. What I saw would have made me never want to sleep because i saw a woman with a body of a snake and snake hair. "Echidna" said Nico. She would have been pretty if she didn't have snakes. 'Who is Echidna?' Then everything came back to me. Echidna was the mother of ALL the monsters. We're dead. Well...I already died so Nico is dead. She came towards us. I was about to tell Nico our plan but Nico wasn't there, he was all the way across from me. Well i think that was Nico, I can't see his face. She turned around and saw Nico. I yelled to get her attention, I didn't want Nico to get hurt. I knocked a few arrows but it was useless she dodged most. Only two hit her in the back. Nico started getting closer which was a mistake because she caught him. She kept on tightening her grip an Nico started to get pale and blue on his lips. I got my arrow ready then she slithered away. I still hit her because there wasn't any place to hide. She left and took Nico hostage. I sat down and the more I thought about it the more it made sense. She was probably using Nico as bait to lure me into her home where all the monsters were. Then she would be able to kill him and do something with me. I know this is crazy but i have to go get him.
