A week passed and Harry was pre-occupied with his newest number one girl, Amelia. I'd be lying if i said that i wasn't a little bit jealous. Harry goes through girlfriends all the time and it's never bothered me before, however, Amelia was different. I could tell that Harry was whipped just by the way he spoke to her and about her; not that he'd told me anything about it because we hadn't had Charlie and Harry time in a while. Harry even started driving Amelia to school and because he picked her up first, she always got shotgun and i was left in the backseat, my words drowned out by the loud music and the sound of their laughter in the front. Maybe i was being dramatic but i really did miss Harry, my Harry.
"Are we going shopping soon because homecoming is in two weeks." I reminded Harry and he nodded his head.
"Yeah, just tell me when."
"Tonight?"
"I'm going out with Amelia, sorry." He told me as he took a bite out of his burger in the caffeteria. This was about the only time i'd spoken to Harry alone since he'd met Amelia.
"You go out with her everyday."
"I like her."
"I know but can't you take one night off to spend time with your best friend who really needs to get a dress." I gave him my best puppy dog face and he groaned.
"Charlie," He dragged out my name. "Why do you have to make things difficult for me? Can she come?"
"No?" I looked at him in disgust. This was mine and Harry's thing.
"Why not? She needs a dress too."
"Yeah well im sure she can find someone else to go with. Who's even taking her to homecoming?" I asked and he bit his lip hesitantly.
"Yeah, this is the thing." He looked down at his hands. "She thinks Niall is a bit to full on and i understand so i might have told her that you can both be my dates." I stared blankly into his face. I couldn't actually believe the words that were escaping his mouth. "It's not that big of a deal Char, we can still match and everything."
"You know what Harry? Go shopping with her, go to homecoming with her, go do everything we do together with her because obviously me alone isn't good enough for you anymore."
"Charlie, you introduced me to her! You wanted us to hang out. I don't know what your problem is."
"Yeah but i didn't know she was going to take my life. My problem is that we've been planning homecoming for a whole year and now all of a sudden everything has changed because of some girl. I would never do this to you because i care too much about our friendship."
"Things change all the time Charlie, grow up." Harry told me, raising his voice a little. People on other tables were beginning to stare so i decided to walk away before i embarrassed myself. "Charlie." He called me before i walked away. I was almost sure he was going to break into an apology that would result in us laughing about yet another stupid argument like we always do. I turned around and stared him blank in the face, "Find your own way home."
I was so angry by his unneccessary comment, i had to walk out before i burst into tears. When i get angry, i always cry; I can't help it. I casually walked out the back doors of the school and sat on the deserted stairs.
"Sometimes people forget who means the most to them, don't worry, i'm sure whatever it is will be fine in a few days." I heard a deep voice from behind me. I turned around to find Zayn's friend, Liam smoking.
"How did you know?"
"I saw the argument." He told me and i nodded. He came and sat beside me and threw his cigatette on the floor, squishing it with his shoe. "If you need a ride home, you can come with me. I just have to make a quick stop on the way." I looked at him cautiously. I didn't know this boy, all i knew was that he was friends with Zayn which didn't really help plead his case.
