Once closer to home, Mason stopped off for gas and ran into Trace. Trace was out for a spin on his motorcycle, and just happened to be at the same gas station near Mason's house.

"Hey man!" Trace said, walking up to Mason.

"Hi Trace, on your way to my house?"

"Yea actually I was. Just wanted to hang out."

"Oh well I'm just now going home. Thinking of being alone. By the way I invited Nova to tag along this up coming tour, if you don't mind."

"Seems you like her. I mean why else would you want her to tag along?"

"Yes I do like her. I think it'd be nice to have her tag along. Might make things more fun."

"No, you really like her. I heard from Frankie, who was told by Danika, that you stayed the night with Nova last night."

"We didn't do anything. Ended up watching movies and falling asleep, unlike Frankie."

"What do you mean?" Trace says, raising an eyebrow.

"Nova almost interrupted him and Danika. She said they were fucking on the counter by the fridge and sink. I thought he wasn't dating anyone."

"Oh, he was with Danika again. Yea, that's the thing they do. Claim they both are single, then randomly hook up with each other, like fuck buddies or something."

"Whatever! Anyway, I'm going home." Mason said, getting back in his car and buckling up.

Trace walked back over to his motorcycle, and hopped on. It was clear Mason didn't feel like hanging out with him. That's okay, he could just go bug Spencer or his sisters maybe.

Mason pulled into his driveway fifteen minutes later. He got out and walked up the steps to the front door, unlocked it and pushed his way inside. Awkward as it may seem, Mason felt uneasy being home.

The reminder that he was alone set in again. Something he keeps trying to avoid. He hated to be alone, more than anything really. Mason had friends, but he was alone. Mason had family, but he was alone. Maybe that's why he stayed all night with Nova. Or maybe, he's just over thinking things again.

Whatever it was, Mason didn't want to dwell on it too much. He pulled his phone out and began to text Nova.

Mason: Nova, hey! I got some free time tonight. How about you come over?

Nova: You could of stayed at my place, earlier. I didn't mind having you here.

Mason: Thought I wanted to be alone. Changed my mind.

Nova: So, you really want me to come over? Why exactly? I'm curious.

Mason: I know it's weird, but I like you. I mean after last night and the night we met, something in me decided to be brave and take my time to get to know you. I use to just do one night stands, since my ex broke up with me, close to seven years ago.

Nova: That bad huh?

Mason: I was afraid of getting rejected and being alone all over again.

Mason: I mean I hate being alone, or lonely. It's one of my fears.

Nova: Aww, Mason! Wait, is that the only reason you like me? Just so I know, am I going to get used?

Mason: Oh fuck no! It ain't like that at all. I actually do like you. Also my offer to tag along on the next tour is still a valid invitation. (Even though I know you said yes already)

Nova: I think it would be fun to tag along, but you didn't really answer my question. Am I going to get used?

Mason: No never! How about we go on a proper date? Tonight, and if you think I'm gonna use you, than you can back out going on tour with me and my band, and forget about me forever.
