XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX-Allison's POV-
I stood in front of the grave, holding a bouquet of white lilies, gently placing them onto the soil that the body buried underneath covered. I opened my mouth to say something but choked on the lump forming in my throat, a feeling of utter despondency tingling in my soul.
Leaning forward I ran my finger against the edges of the rocky tombstone, gently pressing my fingers against the letters that were spelled on it. 'Morrison'. The name that was adjoined with mine and would forever be even though the person to whom the name belonged to was no longer alive.
"If it weren't for you I wouldn't be where I am now, you were always there for me when I needed you most. I was told that your last words were that we should move out from here if you weren't able to make it, so now we decided that we will be shifting to Edinburgh, the place you always dreamed of living in. I'll try visiting you -- that is, if I get any time. And, I used to say this a lot to you before but it was never enough, and I wanna say it one last time before leaving. Thank you, thank you for everything you have done for me and thank you for being... the best father a daughter could ask for."
A series of tears dribbled onto the soft soil as I turned around and took the path that led me back home under the black night sky, the coldness of the breeze prickling at my skin, which made me want to be held, but alas, I was alone and only curled into my own self.
