Tynecastle High-school. That's where I'm going.
I slowly walked towards the school entrance, taking in its magnificence like it was necessary.
I wonder if there are any hot guys to swoon over in this school.
The thought quickly left my mind as I remembered the very long and amazing speech my mum gave me in the car about how she didn't want any "distractions" coming my way.
I stared down at my outfit through the tinted window. I was wearing a teal top with white shorts and matching teal sneakers, my hair tied in a messy bun. I didn't want the snobby "fashion police" running after me so I checked for any stains and spots on my clothes. I even put on some makeup so that I don't end up looking like Frankenstein's newlywed bride.
Hesitantly I reached over for the door handle slowly pushing the door as if I was entering a haunted abandoned castle. The second I had stepped into the school hallway I felt a million pairs of glowing creepy eyes baring into my soul.
I quickly made my way over to the administrative office but there was a tiny problem... I didn't know where the administrative office was. Wonderful, just wonderful.
I thought of asking someone for directions which sounded quite dumb 'cuz I was in a school and not in the streets of London. Yeah, quite different.
Quickly, I scurried over to one of the teachers and spoke in my best 'miss-goody-two-shoes' high-pitched squeaky voice.
"Good Morning! I was wondering if you could tell me where the administration office is?"
"Sure, dear. You're new here, right?" She replied with her local accent.
"Yes."
"Well the office is right down this corridor on the right, you'll see a door labeled 'Administration' there."
"Thank you, I'm Allison Rose Morrison." I spoke shyly whilst reluctantly extending my hand.
"I'm Mrs. Riley Anderson, Biology teacher of years 11 and 12."
Great at least now I know who my bio teacher is. I hope she is as kind as she is right now. She seemed like a nice person.
Ignoring the mass of people - who were going over to their classes - that were looking at me like I came from another universe, I scuttled over to the door and entered into the office. I had only one word to describe that place. Wow.
I felt like a princess in another world, okay maybe that was a bit too imaginative of me. I went over to the receptionist and gave her my details. Thankfully the place was empty so I quickly grabbed the timetable, books, locker key and headed over to class. I glanced down at the paper in my hand to see what period I had first.
Biology. Yay.
They had written the room numbers next to the subjects. Surprise, surprise.
Walking down the corridor I gave a quick glance at my phone. I still have ten minutes before class. Luckily my locker and classroom were close together so it wouldn't take much time.
At least something is going as planned.
I dashed towards the class as soon as I was done stashing my books and bag into my locker. Fortunately no one turned towards me and stared like I was some famous celebrity doing something disgraceful. I went and sat down at this lonely seat right next to the window.
Perfect.
I sat there, on my phone... until the teacher came to class. And then the most dreaded moment arrived, I sat there praying that my anxiety didn't act up.
