Chapter Nine- Scars

I froze still.

Rouges? What are those? By the looks of Shane shifting and his fangs bared I believe not good.

"What are...," he cut me of with a low growl.

"Quiet, and hide this instant," he growled. I went to the closet and rearranged everything until I found a flashlight and a small door that lead in between the wall. Unclipping the latch I moved in and turned the flashlight on. I knew Shane locked it for me and shut the closet door, I heard the thumps of his paws grow quieter as he disappeared.

Sitting in silence as I heard snarls and loud growls come from downstairs. Soon everything went silent. I grew scared, feared every little sound. My breathing became uneven and ragged.

My father was still somewhere in the house and Shane was who knows where. I heard footsteps and shouting get louder until I could understand what they were saying and these voices I didn't understand.

"Where the fuck did that jackass alpha put his damn mate!" A male voice screamed.

"Fucking relax, that stupid mutt couldn't have gotten far," a female voice responded.

I heard the sound of the closet door being ripped off its hinges. I made no move, no sound, I felt myself slow my breathing. I wanted to yell for Shane, I wanted my family.

"Come out, little one, that jackass that calls you mate will be spared from the wolfsbane," the male called.

I felt tears pool in my eyes, I know Shane was going to come any minute. Any minute...

"Her smell is in here! Where the hell is she!" The female screamed.

"The sooner we find her, the sooner I can strip her of her virginity," the male snarled lustfully.

I was beyond frightened, he wanted to rape me. A sound from the stairs made me shake.

A snarl escaped from someone in the room, next thing I know I'm staring into the dark blue eyes of Shane. The fur was matted around his mouth as he tried to get me out of the small space. Backing up, I followed him to see blood everywhere. I ran into his fur as he ran a clawed hand up and down my spine, crying into his luscious fur. I was frightened, I cried for who knows long until four police officers walked into the room.

They didn't seemed fazed by the werewolf or dead bodies, they bowed their heads as they took away the bodies. I buried my face into the fur as they walked pass. I wanted to leave.

"Please take me away from here," I cried.

Wrapping my legs around his torso, he walked away and down the stairs to see my father sitting on the couch with gash on his right arm and scratch on his forehead. Jumping out of Shane's arms I ran to my father and hugged him. I didn't know what to do.

"It's alright sweetie, shh. It's alright," I was traumatized.

My dad tried to sooth me but it never worked. I was shaking and I thought my tears were Niagara Falls, never ending.

"Sugarplum, everything will be okay," I turn around to see Shane back to human form with blood around his mouth and stained teeth. I hugged him and immediately warmth washed over my body. I didn't know who to trust, besides Shane and my family.

The door opened and a gasp was heard. I peek out from behind Shane to spot mom with Lily in her arms.

"What happened in here?" Mom gasped, "And why is he naked?"
