"If you're from the future why don't you know? Why not just travel further into the future and look at a textbook or something?" I asked myself as I pour myself a glass of water.
I take the glass of water but don't drink.
"It doesn't work like that. Plus it would be dangerous. We know nothing of the future! They could have technology that tracks time travelers the moment they reach that part of space and time," I explain.
I study myself for a moment. I don't know what to think of this, and I'm a very opinionated person. I think something of everything.
"What are you thinking, dude?"
I shifted my attention to my friend Dude. His name isn't actually Dude, it's Mikah. He earned the nickname in fourth grade. He said 'dude' more than all of the surfers in all of history combined. We are inseparable, like a comic book duo. He was the first person I called when I found out I was stalking myself.
"I'm thinking... this guy is a good bullshitter."
"Maybe we should give him a test," Dude suggested.
"Not a bad idea, would it make a difference?"
"True, if he is you from the future he wouldn't be too bright."
I brushed off Dude's comment, "I could ask him something only I would know."
"Yeah, but how would I know he's right and you're not just getting bullshitted?"
"I seriously worry about you sometimes," I said to him with one eyebrow raised. I focused on myself, "Alright if you are me from the future you'll know things about me know one else does. So-"
"Last week when you were at Dude's house he made you laugh so hard you pissed a little and you took your underwear off in his bathroom then hid them underneath the couch cushion in the living room when he wasn't paying attention."
I wasn't wrong.
"Dude, what the hell?" Dude exclaimed.
"On the bright side we know this is legit."
"Are they still there?" He asked.
"Yes," I say.
I know this seems very weird. It probably isn't the weirdest thing to happen to me in the past couple of days.
This all started five days ago...
