STEP TWO: HAVE FRIENDLY CONVERSATION

Having your love interest comfortable with you is quite vital to any relationship. If you aren't comfortable enough to announce your feelings, you will want to start with comforting conversations.
Jamie has already gotten Wrens attention but they still need to know each other better.  And while he is still very embarrassed about the pond fiasco, he desperately wants Wren to like him.
At lunch, Jamie finds that apologizing in a friendly manner would be best. Before walking over to his love, Jamie throws away his empty bottle of tea, ties his shoestrings, and checks for anything that he could possibly trip on.
"Hello, Wren. That's a very good book you're reading," Jamie states. It's a decent conversation starter but we'll accost conversation topics later.
"Oh, hi, Jamie. Thanks for noticing, I really like this book so far."
"I just wanted to stop by and say sorry for tripping.  And spilling my tea all over you.  And ruining your blouse. It was very nice. I can pay for it-".
"Jamie."
"-To be dry cleaned because I know how much of a hassle that can be. And one dollar for a garment?! Outrageous-,"
"Jamie."
He looks up, an embarrassing shade of pink coating his cheeks.
Try not to rant so much next time, Jamie.
"It's okay," Wren laughs, "I've already washed it. No stain."
Scratching his head, Jamie nods, "Well that's good."
Cue the awkwardness, something you probably will want avoid when speaking to your love interest.
"It was nice to talk to you Jamie but I've got to go, okay? English class is killing me. Bye," Wren says as she begins to pack away her stuff.
"Okay, Wren, hopefully the next time I see you I won't have any tea either," but she was to far away to hear.
