I woke up with one thought one my mind, How will I sleep tonight? I might as well call Stacey. Every time I sleep during the day, I can't sleep at night. Because of this, every time this happens, I call her and she takes me out somewhere.

I hate calling Stacey. She always takes me to places where trouble is always waiting there, out to get us. And even though we normally avoid it, when you go to a night club and obviously don't look like you're old enough, you stand out. I already see my night. I shiver at the thoughts of what might happen. I then suck in a breath a think myself a wimp for a bit.

I dial her number on my phone. Oh, no. She picked up on the second ring. I take a deep breath to prepare myself for the call.

"Hey Hailey, how'd your day go?" she asked reasonably.

"Bleh," I say into the phone,"What are we doing tonight?"

"Quit the whining... It's going to be casual. Clara's going to be there."

Oh no! I think, Clara... What might she put me through tonight?

"What do you mean?" I say aloud.

"I'm taking you and a friend out to a restaurant. You can take one friend. I will bring myself and one of my friends. I promise, there are no catches. Sound good?"

"Um, well. I can't really say no, can I?

"You can, we would just go somewhere else instead," she says with a wink that I can feel she's doing through the phone.

"I guess I'm in," I answer her first question reluctantly.

"Cool... Um... Who are you bringing?"

"I don't know. Most likely Layla, I have to check though," I answer predictably.

"Ok, see you tonight," she says in a cool tone that makes me jealous that I'm not as popular as her.

"Ok," I finish as am she hangs up. I then text Layla.

Hailey: Hey Layla?

Layla: Yeah?

Hailey: Stacey invited us to go to some restaurant tonight. Can you come?

Layla: I'll ask my parents.

Hailey: Ok.

I wait impatiently for her to respond.

Layla: I can go. What time do I have to be where?

Hailey: I'll ask Stacey.

I switch to mine and Stacey's text page.

Hailey: When/Where's the meeting place/time for today.

Stacey: Meet at my place by 6:00.

Hailey: Ok.

Stacey: Your friend coming?

Hailey: Yeah.

I switch back to mine and Layla's page and respond to her last question.

Hailey: It's at 6:00 tonight and we're meeting up at her house. If you come over here by 5:30pm, I can take you there. I know where her house is.

Layla: Ok. Since being there by 5:30 means I have to take five minutes off my drive there to make it in time, I'm going to be late.

Hailey: Ok. See you in a bit.

Layla: Okay.

I switch back yet again.

Hailey: It's all set. She coming, but we might be a bit late.

Stacey: That's cool. Don't be lame.

I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. Can't wait until tonight.
