I got the idea for this book while riding in my father's truck on a cold September morning. P!nk's : Just Give Me A Reason came on and I found myself humming along, because for a certain point in time I listened to the song twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Except this time instead of blindly belting out the lyrics at the top of my lungs, I listened to the lyrics and let the words speak to me. I fabricated this story in my head, about a young girl and a young man who meet in an undoubtedly cliché way and they see each other and fall in love. As we all know love comes with a price and love is a jealous, fickle emotion that never seems to follow one path no matter how many romance novels you read. Love has the power to heal, and I think that this book does a good job showing that... and to think that it all started with a song.
