Emma wiped at her eyes as they blurred once again. She had woken up a five this morning, rushing out of her apartment and then arriving at the art gallery thirty minutes later. Emma had been the first one at the gallery and used that to her advantage. She began placing the decorations and doing other small tasks that she could do by herself until the others had arrived. She had looked at the details of the showing that sat on her desk over thirty times, making sure that everything was going to go on without a single flaw.

Emma was tired and already worn out but she wouldn't let that stop her, she was going to make sure that this was the best showing that she had ever put together. When the other staff members had arrived, Emma had barked out orders and they had quickly gotten to their tasks, not wanting to infuriate their frantic boss.

As the artists arrived, Emma directed them to where their particular spot in the gallery was and made sure they knew where they were supposed to be and by what time. Emma continued to rush around worried that she wouldn't find time for everything that needed to be done in the five hours until the guests starting arriving.

Emma finally arrived back in her office and she felt as though she was going to collapse from exhaustion when Clara and Amanda came through her office door.

Emma looked up at the pair, laughing as they walked up to Emma's desk.

"Look who I found wandering around." Amanda motioned to Clara.

Emma's forehead creased. "What are you doing here, the show doesn't until start 7 a.m. and it's only 2."

"I thought you might want some help; Amanda tells me that you've practically become a dictator. I told her not to take much notice though, you've always been a control freak." Clara winked at Emma, which in turn only received an eye roll of irritation.

Emma saw Amanda's eyes widen at the site of the black dress bag hanging from a curtain rod.

"Oh, Emma, is that your dress for this evening?"

Emma glanced in the direction of the dress and scowled. "Unfortunately yes."

"Why so gloom and doom boss?" Amanda said as she scampered her way over to the dress bag.

"I'd much rather wear jeans and t-shirt, but my sister says that it's not professional."

"It's not." Clara huffed, also making her way over to the dress.

Emma looked at the details to the showing one last time, paying no attention to the women when they both gasped in horror.

"Emma, ohmyGOD, is this what you're wearing?"

Clara pulled out the hideous, puke green dress from its confinements and Emma grimaced, it was the only nice dress she owned and she didn't have the time to go out and buy another.

"Yes, why else would it be in my office in the dress bag?"

Amanda and Clara looked at one another in horror, before looking at Emma.

"You are not wearing this... this thing." Clara said indignantly.

"Especially in front of Greyson and Gwen." Amanda added as she forced the dress back into the bag so it couldn't burn anyone else's eyes.

"Then what do you suggest that I wear?"

Amanda and Clara looked at each other with sparkling eyes.

Emma's eyes widened as realization dawned on her. "NO,NO,NO absolutely not, no way. There is not enough time, I have too much to do."

"Nonsense, everything is almost finished, besides, everyone else can finish up what needs to be done. There is plenty of time to go shopping." Amanda said flippantly.
