A New Tail

Andrea's P.O.V.

We walk inside our home.

"Bella, Will!" Andrew yells.

"Um just stay in the living room." Will calls back.

Rhyian, Andrew, and I share a look of confusion.

I walk towards where I heard Will. Cracking open the door I see Bella on the ground as a mermaid and Will desperately trying to dry her off.

I gasp. Bella is a mermaid too.

"Boys." I whisper. "Get over here. You have to see this."

I back up from the door and I let them see Bella and Will.

"We live in a family of merpeople!" Andrew exclaims.

"I don't think Will is because he would be using his powers to dry her off." I say, walk past them and into the kitchen where Bella and Will are.

"Do you guys need any help?" I ask, both Bella and Will jump at my voice.

"Andrea it's not what you think." Bella says.

I smile." You don't have to cover up what you are Bella. I'm a mermaid too." I say and walk towards her.

Placeing my palm out I begin curling it into a fist and drying off her tail. She stands when her tail is gone.

"Hey Andrew, Rhyian, you can come in now. " the boys scurry in. "Should we call Eric to come back so we can tell Bella and Will?"

"Yea, I called him a few minutes ago says he was already coming home." Rhyian replies.

Eric comes home panting, "Yeah, I'm home. What was so urgent?"

"There are other merpeople in our neighborhood. Bella is a mermaid and so are a group of teens and the principle of our school." I comment.

"Wow, is the world getting overrun by merpeople?" Eric asks.

"Boys well your social worker called, they want to send Andrew and Rhyian to a group home." Will says solemnly.

"What!" All three boys yell.

"They can't send them away!" I yell after.

"I'm sorry. We tried resoning with them, but they wouldn't listen." Bella says.

"There coming tomorrow morning to get both of you. We can say our goodbyes tonight." Will says.

I turn to hug them both and we all group hug.
