It had been 3 days since Lulu had moved into Cole's house or should i say castle. The size of the house still amazed Lulu. The first day, Cole had taken Lulu shopping since she had no clothes, the second day was spent watching movies and now today was day 3. Cole had work to do so Lulu was left to occupy herself. After making pop corn and grabbing a bag of crisps, Lulu decided to watch some TV.

The daily news had just started. The caption caught her attention. "Missing 17 year old girl. Goes by the name Lulu Rose. Black hair. Blue eyes. Roughly 5,5. If seen call this number" Tears fell as Lulu listened to her mum being interviewed. "Please come home baby girl, please" Lulu noticed that her mum's eyes were almost stained red from her crying. She held baby Oliver, who looked just as sad. Oliver didn't speak much but what he said next broke her heart. "Pwese come ome sissy, i wuv you".

Switching the TV off Lulu curled up on the sofa and continued to cry. Her family missed her, she missed them, however she could not come home. Oliver meant the world to her, so if leaving left him safe, it was what she had to do.

Cole's POV

Driving home from work was torcher. He couldn't wait to get back to Lulu. Pushing the pedal harder, Cole counted the minutes till he saw his house. Jumping out the car Cole ran towards the front door, leaving all his work behind. Opening the door Cole was stopped dead in his tracked by a sound so agonisingly painful he almost fell to his knees.

Rushing round the corner, he found his broken girl crying on the sofa. Dropping his jacket, Cole scooped Lulu up into his arms. "Lu, please tell me whats wrong?" Cole asked as her crying calmed down.

"I can't go back." she whispered. Lulu had told Cole the story of why he found her that night. The anger he felt was undecidable. Seeing her so broken broke Cole's heart. Over the past 3 days he had grown to love her. Yes she was broken and carried a lot of baggage but he never once regretted picking her up that night.

Lulu feel asleep in his arms, like she did every night. Cole carried her up to his room. They had been sharing the same bed, only because Lulu was terrified of being alone. He knew she didn't want his pity, all she wanted was to feel safe. If that was what made her happy then Cole didn't even question it.

After putting her in bed, Cole headed down stairs in hunt for some food. He had just finished making a noodle sandwich (Lulu had gotten him hooked on them) when the door bell rang. Putting down his sandwich, Cole headed out of the kitchen to answer the door. Once again he opened it to the biggest mistake he had ever made.
