Chapter Eight

Hey y'all! These chapters take a long time to make but that's because there pure imagination and fresh off my mind. And they are written around 2 am. But enjoy it! p. s some things might not make sense, mainly cuz there written late at night ♥
Fionna
I woke up to a loud thump on my window. I looked at the clock, it was about to strike midnight. I then look at cake,who could sleep through an earthquake. I figured that it was Marshall Lee wanting to do something crazy in the middle of the night. I got up.
"Marshall Lee!" I whisper yell at him. "do you have any idea what time it is!" I open the window and I instantly felt I was hit by someone cold. I fell backwards and I felt more things hit me. I get up and instantly close the window.
It's hailing? In the start of fall? Is that snow? What is going on? I look at the hail in my room. It was a giant piece of ice. I go look into the mirror and see that a bruise is starting to appear on my cheek. I'll deal with it in the morning. Maybe I'm just hallucinating
I felt a furry hand shake me awake, "Fionna! Wake up sweet pea!" I groan, "Not now cake..." but cake wouldn't budge. "look outside!" I finally got up and looked out our window. It looked like a winter wonderland. "Whoa, how long did I sleep for? " I joked around but I was a bit nervous. "Do you think it's like this all over AAA? " Cake asked and I noticed her tail started to frizz up. "Let's check it out."
we got into our snow gear that cake made and decorated. then we headed out. the snow reached a little over our ankles. We headed to the candy kingdom, maybe Gumball knows what's going on. He's into silence and stuff.
When we arrived there the snow was much thicker. Me and cake were miserable, we enjoy winter but this is torture. We were freezing cold, my nose felt like I was balancing dry ice on it. Snow got into our boots, a lot of it.
When we entered the castle peppermint maid was crying hysterically. "What's going on?"Cake asked as she dumped the snow out of her boot. "Gumball has been kidnapped! Last night around 10:30 Ice queen took him away! We tried to contact you but the weather was awful!" Peppermint started to sob some more. I crouch down to her level, "Don't worry, we will get him back in a whole piece."
"thank you!" She cried out. Cake and I marched our way through the snow. This would take us the whole day. Then Cake's boyfriend gives us a lift and we get there in no time.
the Ice kingdom was FULL of snow! More than usual. Cake took two steps and slipped on ice. "Wahhhh!" cake yelled. "There's ice under the snow!" Cake furrowed her eyebrows. I walk slowly to the Ice Queens home until I heard a guitar struck pluck.
On top of a snowy hill Marshall Lee was playing the guitar."Hi Marshall Lee! What are you doing here."
He opened his eyes and appears to be glaring at me. "Nothing. " He spoke in a ice cold voice. I ignore his behavior, I need to find gumball. "Do you know where I can Queen is? "
Cake adds in, "we need to place her back in line."
"How should I know." Marshall Lee brushes snow off his shoulder. Did I mention it was still snowing? Cake's tail started to frizz, "Girl, I'm sensing something over there." Cake walked closer to the hill Marshall was on. She then stretched her hand into a huge fist then slashed through ice that was hidden under the snow. All the ice fell, it sounded like glass shattering.
It reveal a staircase of ice that leads into an ice cave. The shine blue and white colors of the ice almost make it look like it was a glass palace. It was pretty, but it held something ugly inside. "Did you know about this Marshall? " I asked him. He shrugged and continued to play his small tune.
What's with him? He's really bothered by something. I didn't do anything to upset him, so it's not my fault. Cake and I carefully walked down the stairs. I looked back and Marshall Lee was following us. It took us almost 15 minutes to go down eight steps. Inside the cave was even more challenging. There were ten hallways. Me and cake decided to stick together. I guess Marshall's tagging along but he doesn't seem to amused.We went down hallway number four.
The walls of this hallway were jagged and sharp edges. Icicles hanging from the ceiling. One slip up and you could easily get hurt. An evil cackle echoed through the walls. "Ice queen! " Cake and I rush down the hallway, then the crackle stopped. We came to a complete halt when there was a large Canyon in front of us. Icicles of all sizes but all sharp as a needle were lined up on the canyon walls. If we didn't stop in time we could have fallen in. Guess we went the wrong way.
I look at cake and right as I do an ice warrior grabbed a hold of cake. I took action fast. I took out my sword and swing it at the ice warrior. I didn't think it would work but it did. More worried came along. What was Marshall doing? Absolutely nothing.
"Marshall a quick hand? " I asked him. We were too close to the edge of the canyon. He continued playing the guitar. I was growing tired of him not helping. "Stop being worthless Marshall and help us!" He looked at me with an expression I don't know how to describe but boy, was he mad. If looks could kill I would be dead. He pushed two of the ice warriors down the canyon and helped us fight with his axe.
There was a small ice warrior heading for cake. I was about to say him but then I felt the grasp of my sword disappear. I look behind me and see my sword fall into the canyon with an ice warrior.
"My sword! " I look at Marshall who just shrugged. He knocked it out of my hands! I glared at him, "why did you do that! ".
"hey, i saved your ass."
"You throw my favorite sword of the ledge! "
"whatever, you'll thank me later."
I was going to argue even more but more ice dorks started coming.
I had to take action. I kicked a tall icicle that was growing from there ground and charged out of the hallway.
I guess that wasn't the right hallway.
"Ugh, this mission is the worst." me and cake looked at each other. Finally Marshall gave some advice, even though I'd appreciate that he would leave, "Maybe it's the tenth hallway. "
"No! I told you I've queen I would rather be dethroned then to marry you!" It was gumball! I heard that wailing cry before. We ran down hallway number seven.
The temperature in this hallway was freezing. The hallway was a lot nicer though. A little too nice if you ask me. Marshall was not so thrilled about going into this hallway.
"OH, MY GLOB! FIONNA AND CAKE!"
I ran forward and saw cages lined up on the walls. The cages were labeled 'best mans'.
I guess we went the right way.
"Lumpy space prince! What are you doing here?"
"The ice queen is hosting a wedding and we're the best mens!" Lsp pointed to the other jail cells that was occupied by Slime prince, wild berry prince and Flame prince.
"Flame prince! "I went over to his jail cell and held his hand. He was slightly blue. "Are you okay? What did she do to you guys"
I could hear Marshall Lee mutter under his breath something really vulgar. I would like to ask him what's wrong but he's so stubborn. "She just shoved us in here, but it's so cold. " Flame prince shivered. Cake stretched her hand into the form of a key and let everyone out.
The hallways echoed with the classic wedding music and then, I heard the familiar cry for help.
The wedding started! "Everyone your free! " Cake shouted and then we ran down the hallway and busted through the big doors.
"Ice queen! "

She was dressed in a long wedding dress and a light blue vale. Gumball was wearing a fancy dark blue tuxedo.Instead of being shocked or angry she was smiling. "Ah, the bridesmaids finally decided to show up! But you're not wearing your dresses, here let me help you out! " She blasted us with her powers and we were frozen in place.
'Fionna, cake, are you okay? "
No I'm not okay, I'm really upset right now. My socks are wet, I lost my favorite sword in the whole world, Marshall Lee is angry with me, my boyfriend is is pain and I'm stuck an ice block shaped like a dress. "ya I'm f-fine."
Marshall Lee started to float towards Ice queen. I forgot he was still with us. "Mars-shall Lee help us! " I hissed at him. But he shrugged me off.
"Ah, Marshall Lee, I'm sure I didn't invite you to our wedding. I'm sure I didn't invite anyone to our wedding." Ice queen spoke in a softer tone towards Marshall Lee but she still had that crack in her voice. "I'm just here for the wedding cake." He actually smiled. Cake on the other hand was angry.
"You can't force someone to love you! "Cake shouted. Ice Queen placed her hands on her hips, "Oh shut it, you tramp! Now let's get this wedding started." the music started again and Marshall Lee played the piano.
I need to save Gumball, the day's almost over and so is the wedding. I started to wiggle around, trying to break free. I was so surprised that it was so easy to escape the ice dress. I kick another icicle and use it as a sword. I then try to let cake free.
"Do you, The Ice queen take Prince Gumball to be your lawfully wedded husband."
She laughed, "of course! "
"Go stop her! " Cake muttered towards me.
I ran towards Ice queen with my icicle sword but Marshall blocked my path.
"Marshall Lee move out of the way! " I dropped the icicle and It shattered into pieces. "No way! Leave Ice queen alone." I could feel my face heat up in anger. I kneel down and pick up the sharpest ice shard. "Marshall Lee, If you don't move and let me save Gumball and stop Ice Queen then..." I didn't know what I'd do. I don't want to hurt him but if he gets in the way then I would have to.
"Then what? You're going to take me to jail? What are you going to do?!" He was only an inch away from me. All the tension was on us. "What is up with you? Why are you angry with me?! "
"Nothing's wrong, I'm just really annoyed with you. " I tried to sneak away from him but he wouldn't let me! I couldn't take anymore of this. I stabbed his shoulder with the ice shard. At first I was mortified, what have I done!?
Then I felt a cold blast on my arm. Ice Queen blasted an ice ball at me. The shock of the ice entered my body slowly. I felt it travel all around me. I shivered.
Marshall Lee was still in pain. My eyes shut closed and I slowly collapsed.
