It's been a month. A glorious month with Robin. He takes me on at least four dates a week. He pampers me and I absolutely love it. In fact he even invited me to come over to his house this weekend. I'm a tad nervous about it because I get to meet his son. He's just a three year old and I hope I can handle him.
I take a deep breath as I struggle to close my weekend bag. A knock on the door brings me instant happiness. I practically run over to the door and try my hardest not to fall.
"Robin!" I say as I swing the door open.
"Hello love." He says and he gives me a kiss on the cheek. "Are you packed?"
"Yes I am. I just have to get my bag. I'm really excited for this weekend."
"So am I. I think you should pack a bathing suit. I may have promised Roland that we would take a swim."
"That sounds great. I'll be right back." I rush into my room and head straight for my closet. I dig through all the drawers in my dressers trying to find the perfect bathing suit.
"Regina." I here Robin's voice softly call out to me.
"I'm coming!" I yell out at him. I'm still frantically trying to find my bathing suit. I start looking through the pile of clothes I threw on the floor. A gentle set of hands take my nervous ones and hold them tightly.
"Relax sweetheart. You need to calm down." He whispers in my ear and he instantly calms me down. He still holds my hands that have stopped shaking.
"I'm sorry I'm just nervous. I've never been to your house and I want to make a good impression on Roland."
"He'll adore you probably more than I do which is impossible." Robin says and I give him a small smile.
"We could leave but I still need to find a bathing suit."
"How about this one?" He says as he hands me the bikini I was looking for.
"How the hell did you find it?"
"Magic of course. Are you ready to leave?"
"Sure." I say and Robin helps me off the floor. We walk back in my room and I tell Robin to wait in the living room. I repack my bag, leaving half of what I packed and I easily close the bag. Feeling ten times better as I walk in to see Robin on the phone.
"I need it to be perfect and I need it by tomorrow." He says and then he hangs up the phone. His eyes immediately look into mine and he smiles at me.
"What was that about?"
"It was just work. Don't worry about it." He says and then he takes my bag from my hand. "Let's just have a great weekend!"
"You're right let's go." I say with a smile. Robin grabs my hand and leads us out the apartment building. Hand in hand we walk towards his car. As usual he opens the door for me and I slide into the car. Robin puts my luggage in the trunk and quickly gets in the car.
"How far is your house?"
"About forty-five minutes to an hour."
"I feel bad that you have to commute all this way just to see me."
"Your worth it." He says and he grabs my hand and sweetly holds it as he starts to drive. I'm not going to lie sitting in a car is very boring. The only thing that is keeping me awake is my excitement about meeting Roland. I heard any stories about him and I can't wait to see him in person.
I lay my head on the car window and watch the white lines on the road quickly pass by. The trees also move quickly past my gaze. I stare up at the sky and see the perky blue skies with hints of fluffy white clouds.
