I told him everything. I told Harry about how I met Jason in my senior year of high school and how I knew he was flaky, but I still went out with him. I believed his lies. I also told him how rocky our relationship had been, as well, with our constant fighting and cheating. I even got to tell him about who was always there for me the whole time: Emily, my best friend. Harry was a really good listener and really good at getting me to talk. My shyness slowly dissipated, and I gradually opened up to him.
We talked for two hours and only once did we have to stop for him to take a picture with a pair of teenage girls. It really surprised me that no one else noticed him. I guess it was because, mostly, only adults came to this part of the park.
After the two hours, we both had to go. He had to meet with the boys, and I had to go meet Emily for coffee, as I did every Wednesday. We exchanged phone numbers, he gave me a reassuring/good-bye hug, and he walked off into oblivion. But, not before promising to introduce me to the band. I was almost completely happy. Although, I still had some healing to do, coming out of a bad relationship.
As I watched him walk off, my phone buzzed in my hand. I had gotten a text message.
From: Hazza - Heyy, wen do u think u can meet the boys?
I just smiled slightly and told him that I was free tomorrow all day. He immediately replied.
From: Hazza - Ok meet us back here at 10 tomorrow
From: Hazza - And bring Emily with you(:
I told him alright and started walking towards my car. When I got there, I unlocked the door and sat in the driver's seat. I sat there and didn't move. I just thought about what had just happened. I texted Emily.
To: Em - OMG u will not believe what just happened!!! Tell u at Star Bucks :D
And I was off.
