'No one told me life would be this way.' - Downtown X August Alsina

I finally stopped running when I felt safe enough. I tried to calm my breathing. I must've ran about two blocks. Luckily I'm in shape or else I would've been near death. People were looking at me weird but I just ignored them. If they only knew what just happened to me.

Taking in my surroundings I saw a Verizon wireless a little further up the road. I began walking to it. Conveniently this is my phone service. First thing first I need another phone since I dropped my phone when the kidnapper first put the gun to my head. In my defense I was scared shitless. I walked up to it and opened the door before walking in.

"Hello, welcome to Verizon Wireless. How may I help you?" An employee greeted me.

I smiled back as I walked up to her.

"Hello, my phone was just stolen." I said .

"Oh okay. Have you filed a police report and do you have insurance?" She asked.

"Yes and yes." I answered.

"Okay what's the accounant name under?" She asked.

"La'Kyrie Townsely" I said.

She began typing and I leaned on the counter. I occasionally looked over my shoulder casually making sure the kidnapper wasn't coming after me. I think I'm going to be okay though.

"Okay, so you do have insurance. Now do you want to get a replacement or you can wait to see if you'll get your other phone back." She said .

"I would like a replacement." I said .

"Okay do you want the same model or a new one?" She asked .

"The same." I said.

"Okay hold on just a minute." She said.

I nodded as she disappeared into the back. I can't stop wondering where my parents are. Are they safe? I know they weren't at work because they both told me they would be off. I sighed feeling overwhelmed. Shortly the lady returned back with a galaxy 6s edge. She finished getting everything set up and I walked out after thanking her.

I spotted a restaurant and started walking to it. I stopped and looked at the name. It read Azul. Seems good enough. I walked in and walked to the waiting area. There was nobody waiting so I walked up to the host.

"Hello welcome to Azul. Do you have a lunch reservation?" He asked.

"No I don't." I said.

He frowned and excused himself. He came back shortly with a smile on his face instead.

"So good news, we have a table that just opened up." He said.

"Okay great." I said.

I followed him into the simple but beautifully decorated restaurant. He led me to a table and I sat down.

"Someone will be with you shortly ma'am." He told me .

"Okay, thank you." I said and he walked off.

I pulled out the new phone and went to my moms contact. I pressed call and held it up to my ear waiting. It rung and rung before going to voicemail.

I tried my dad and got the same results. I didn't leave voicemails because my parents usually call me right back. This is ridiculous. All I want is my parents.
