Blake's POV:
Three weeks. That's all it took for him to realize that high school wasn't all that bad. Well at least being on the other side of the classroom didn't seem all that bad. It appeared as if this was going to be a better experience than his own sorry sad excuse of wasted high school years. It seemed that now that he was grown he could appreciate it a little more. The whole high school experience no longer caused him to cringe. He was taking it all in strides.
Everything, was going well and he was learning a lot. He got along with all of the students as well as the other teachers. He found that he genuinely enjoyed teaching. If he wasn't an actor he could get used to being a teacher. The only storm cloud in his clear blue sky was Rua O'Ryan. She wasn't disrespectful but he could tell that she didn't like him. After their first meeting she was a little standoffish. She did her work, participated in class, but she was still a little distant.
The lengths that she went to keep him at a distance made her all the more interesting. Unlike all of the other girls and a few teachers who did everything that they could think of to get his attention. They left messages on his car window, bought him lunches, or gave him lingering glances.
At times it got a little out of hand but he remained impartial. He just smiled and barred it. It's all apart of the job. Most of the non-married female teachers flirted with him. At times it was uncomfortable but he laughed it off. He was kind, respectful, and adamant when he divulged that he wasn't interested. Women still found him appealing because he still received lots of unwanted attention.
As for Rua she was different. She acted as if he didn't exist once she left his classroom. If she wasn't ignoring him then she always had her head buried in a book. She was friendly enough but she only shared a closeness with only one student named Lacy. They seemed to be best friends but it boggled his mind that they were so close because they were total opposites. He never understood female friendships. Even Lacy flirted with him.
He found himself watching Rua from time to time as she sat at her desk doing her work. She was beautiful. He liked to watch how the light would shine on her strikingly curly red hair. Her smooth brown skin tempted him to touch. He wanted so badly to see her eyes but they were always hidden behind black framed glasses. The glasses didn't detract from her beauty. 'That sounded almost poetic,' he thought to himself chuckling. Standing up, picking up the rest of the ungraded papers, he put them into his messenger bag. He'd finish the rest later.
Walking towards the door Rua was still on his mind. He couldn't deny it Rua was a beauty! What puzzled him the most was that he had never seen or met a girl that ignored him like she did. It was as if he was invisible. He pretended that her ignoring him didn't bother him. He understood that he was her teacher and that she was his student but it was still nerve wracking.
He knew that as long as he was working in this school that for all intents and purposes he was a teacher. Which meant that he couldn't get involved with her. Despite that fact she still made him curious. There was just something about her that made him want to know more. She intrigued him but he knew that now wasn't the time to be distracted.
After school standing outside his classroom door he locked it and then started walking down the hall towards the exit. Looking at his cellphone he realized that it was late. 'Shit' he exclaimed. He was running late. He had a meeting with the boss and his agent in half an hour. It was all the way across town and traffic around this time of day was a nightmare.
Walking swiftly down the quite deserted hall he gripped the messenger bag in his hand. With his free hand he pulled out his shades from his leather jacket pocket. Putting them on he continued to walk until he felt a sudden impact of force which cause him to fall backwards. Landing with a responding plop flat on his back.
Dazed he didn't know what happened. The back of his head hit the ground while his bag slipped out of his grasp. On their own accord his hands wrapped around whomever ran into him. For a brief moment a feeling of protectiveness surged through him. His hands skimmed the back of the smaller, fuller, softer very feminine body on top of his. "What the..." His words trailed off after realized who it was.
Taking off his sunglasses he stared down at a head full of red curls. His grip tightened as his mouth closed. Inhaling he recognized the smell of lilacs and honey. He stared at her curly head as his heart started to beat faster. He could feel the erratic beating off her heart as it speed up. Her smooth brown hands were splayed on his chest. He could feel the heat generated from her touch even through his shirt. He could also feel his body reacting to her closeness.
Trying to distract himself from the dangerous thoughts that were circulating through his mind he looked at the floor. His eyes landing on a pair of familiar red glasses lying on the ground next to a book. Concentrating on the book he could feel his body relaxing. He noticed that the pages were worn and tattered as if it had been read repeatedly. "Shit, just what I needed." He heard her whisper. Which jarred him from his useless thoughts. His gaze swung from the book to the girl lying on top of him.
Feeling her body on top of his he suppressed a moan. As she tried to untangle herself from him. The more she moved the more aware of her he became. God, she feels so good! Her body fit his like it was made for him. Her body was warm, curvy, and her weight was welcomed. He could imagine doing other things involving her body and his. Was it wrong for him to feel this way? Hell, was it wrong for him to think this way?
She was his student and he was here to do a job. More importantly she was his boss's daughter. There were too many things working against them, but he wanted her. He could feel a smile starting to form but he suppressed it. From Rua's response to their predicament he could tell that she wasn't happy. Maybe this time he could get on her good side.
