So, yeah.

I sit next to Donghyuk.

I'm okay. Suprisingly. He's a great seatmate actually. He has a really good personality.

We found ourselves a good spot near the door. It won't be that hot here in the summer or chilly in the winter. We put away our things and sat down.

Everyone else around us was chatting carefreely while we were just sitting there awkwardly. I laid my head on the table and sighed.

"Are you okay?" Donghyuk asked.Chill, boy!

"I'm fine. But are you okay now?"

Donghyuk looked at me with questioning face.

"You remember me from that time, don't you? You didn't seem okay then." I said quietly.

"Of course I remember you. Everything's okay now." He answered and smiled.

"Really? Good to hear!" I said and shot a smile.

The teacher told us more information about the next day and after that we all had to go to the assembly. It was the usual, a boring speech from the head teacher and then we were free to go. At the lockers I met Donghyuk again. Turned out that his locker was next to mine. This is getting absurd. How many coincidences I encounter today?

"I guess I'm going to spend this school year next to you. Even my locker is next to yours!" Donghyuk said after noticing me.

"I guess so..." I was not in the mood for conversation since I wanted to quickly get home because mom promised to cook my favorite, kimchi pasta today.

So I grabbed my coat and put it on while feeling that awkward silence between me and Donghyuk. There were many people talking around, yet it was somehow quiet between us.

"Bye" I mumbled when I got ready and stepped away. I don't think he heard me.

"Bye!" he said to me loudly. I turned around and saw him wave. I smiled, waved him back, turned around and went home.

The next day was the first day of our high school lives. Since everybody in this class was new to this school and nobody knew nobody, we all had to get familiar with our fresh classmates.

We also got to know new teachers. They told us from the beginning that we'll be studying hard, as expected. One teacher told us that high school is a tough place and nobody comes here to play. Well that sounded really out of a action movie but it's true. The amount of stuff to study is massive so if you're not gonna take it even a bit seriously, you're gonna drop out.

One thing that I found really boring was that we'll be moving classrooms only thrice a week. Like in usual Korean high schools, students stay in their classroom for the whole day and teachers move from class to class. Meaning that your seatmate is the closest person to you for almost all day. Better be friends with Donghyuk...

The last subject of the day was chemistry. The teacher was an old, tired woman who didn't bother to introduce herself or ask our names. Without wasting any time she gave us some exercises to revise what we learned in the middle school.

The exercises were way too easy for me. I finished them in a few minutes and watched over the classroom to see how some people had hard time. Since I had nothing to do, I started doddling in my notebook. Donghyuk finished not long after me and checked how I was doing.

"Do you like drawing?" He quietly asked as he leaned towards me for a closer look on my doddles.

"Yeah." I started a new doddle,a cartoon tiger with an ice cream between it's paws.
