She watched from far away, a sad yet distant smile upon her lips. The pain in her heart intensified as she watched him smile down at the girl beside him. To think, just awhile ago, he had bestowed that smile on her. She watched as he gently caressed her cheek, before slowly leaning down to place a sweet kiss upon those lips.

The girl watched from afar, the tender sweet moment developing before her. How she wanted to expire on that spot. How she wanted to gouge out her eyes to erase the memory. Slowly, the couple in love broke apart, and turned, only to catch sight of the girl. Laughing, they called out to her.

Desperate to not let them see her pain, she forced a smile upon her lips and waved to them. Laughing, high on their love, they enveloped her in a hard hug. The girl stiffened at the feel of his warm arms around her. Slowly, but firmly, she pushed them away, before asking what the plans were for that day.

Smiling, they suggested that they all watch a movie. Not looking at him, the girl agreed. Walking together, they went to buy their tickets. With some time to kill, they went to a shop nearby to get some snacks. The girl waited outside while the couple went in to place their order. She sat outside, her eyes blurring with tears. Hurriedly, she wiped them before they spilled down her cheeks, unknowingly that he watched her from the door of the store.

With much noise, he sat down beside her. She looked at him, trying to memorize his face. He glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, feeling her staring at him. She looked away before he can catch her, trying to breathe past the pain. But it only made it worse, for his scent invaded her senses.

He looked at the girl, curious of her silence. Wondering, he asked if she was alright. With the barest move of her head, she nodded. Disturbed, he asked her again. Angry, for he was the reason for her mood, the girl roughly pushed away, knocking over her chair. Turning, she ran away, nearly stopping at his shout. Tears blinding her vision, she ran and ran. Not looking, but feeling his presence following her, she ran faster, darting across the road before looking. The screams of people around her and his voice alerted her, and stopped her in her tracks. For a split second, she turned to stare at the face of the one she loved before the world went black.

His voice was calling her name. But she didn't want to run to it anymore, yet he was persistent. She opened her eyes but everything was so blurry. She could hear his voice, smell his scent, and feel his warmth. Her teeth chattering and the pain hiring her hard, she smiled up at him wondering if he saw. Feeling the edge of darkness pulling at her vision, she whispered with her last breathe,

"I couldn't live knowing you're not mine to love freely and so where I go, I'll always have you there with me, with no restrictions and where I can love you with all my heart. I won't say goodbye but to live in peace."

And with that, the girl closed her eyes, a sad smile on her face, as she died in the arms of the boy she couldn't live without.

So hey, this story wasn't really planned at the time I was writing it. I was up late one night, and feeling depressed and so I let my pen move on its own, writing as all these emotions were going through me. Hope you'll like it!
