It's been ten years since my nephew Conner was taken and its been a hard road for us. By us, I mean his two fathers and me.

Hell a lot has changed since then, some for the better and some for the worse. The guardians that helped us from before are now living their lives with their mates, but they do come by once and awhile.

As for Kamden and Jessie they went back to our old pack to help them get back in order and that was five years ago. They haven't come back because they both felt that it was their duty to run the pack. I could care less about that pack. Plus it wasn't really my pack anymore.Not since I found out that I was gifted along with my half younger brother, Shane.

Shane, Gabe and I are getting along quite well actually. In fact Gabe practically adopted Shane as his brother. He even questioned Reaper before he could take Shane on a date. At the time he was living with us. But now he and Reaper live to the left of us and on the other side are Gabe and Kade.

Speaking of mates, Bane and I doing well. Considering at first I didn't want a mate, but I'm really grateful for having him being part of my life. I don't know how I would have gotten through these past ten years without him. Some days I felt like a huge failure as a uncle and other days I would go without sleep searching every little clue that can lead me to Conner.

So far all of them have been dead ends. I also know that I'm not the only one feeling the guilt and not to mention the unanswered questions. Of where is Conner? Is he alive? Does he know we are still looking for him?

I felt arms wrap around my waist,leaning into the touch of Bane eased my mind somewhat.

"We'll find him," Bane whispered into my ear softly. I guess after ten years of being together we know each other are thinking.

Turning over to look at him, "How can you be you so sure? I mean it's been ten years and we haven't found a single clue as to where he might be.Or that he's even alive."

"Hey don't think like that. You raised him well enough to recognize danger and from the stories you,Kade and Reaper shared. He can defend himself. Not saying that we shouldn't stop looking for him, but we should have faith that he is still alive and we will find him," Bane spoke with so much determination. He also made me feel secure that we can find him.

"Your right, we will find him. Did your team find any new information?"

"No, they thought they had something. Turns out it was a wild goose chase," Bane let out a sigh. When he does that I know there is more than that.

"What?" I bit my lip out of habit.

"Word has gotten out about you and Shane," Bane closed his eyes while cringing away.

"WHAT? How they hell did that happen? No one knows,but our family," yeah after spending years together we called our little group a family. Surprisingly I included Jessie in that.

"I honestly don't know. We never slip up with important information like that. Some of the guys already feel bad for even letting it slip. All I ask is go easy on them," Bane was beating himself up for it already. I can only imagine how the rest are.

"You know what? Fuck it, everyone was going to find out eventually might as well be now. And quiet frankly I'm getting tired of hiding it," I laid back down, not realizing I sprang up.

After five years of living on the Guardian palace,which I'm calling it, word had got out that some paranormal had certain gifts. The head Guardian sent out warriors of all kinds to find these gifted paranormal, so that they may be protected from those who wish to do them harm.

I just never told them about me and Shane. Cause I knew they would make us stay in the main palace instead of letting us live in our house outside the palace limits. Hopefully we can convince them I don't need protection like the others. I know how to handle myself.

Bane started kissing down my neck to my shoulder. I know what he's trying to do and let just say it's working.

"You don't play fair," turning around to kiss him on those delicious lips that I become addicted to. He rolled me onto my back and broke off the kiss.

"I never said I play fair," he continued on with pleasuring me and to also distract me from my thoughts.
