**So, so, sorry to my dear readers that I haven't updated in such a long ass time. Its just that every time I sat down to right, my mind would come up with bupkis. Its like I ran out of ideas or something. Just to let you know now, its going to take awhile to update and start writing, since i'm still having trouble coming up with ideas for the story. I want to take my time with this one since I felt like I rushed the last story.

For warning I'm a little rusty at writing at the moment and this chapter might not be good. But leave a comment, vote and let me know what you think of it so far.

Without further ado here's chapter 2

Chapter 2

Sitting up in a cold sweat gasping for breath and looking around frequently for any sign of my nightmare. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, I laid back down with my mind racing a mile a minute. Trying to control my breathing and keep myself from freaking out. I finally calmed down enough to think calmly.

What the hell was that? There is no way that's going to happen. I'll make sure of it, even if I die trying*.

*Cliché I Know, but hey I had no other idea at the moment.*

Knowing I won't be going back to sleep anytime soon. I decided to get up all the while avoiding stepping on anyone on my way to the kitchen. Everything was delivered to the house before we got here. I just had to find the right box that held the coffee maker.

As I was making my way to the kitchen filled with boxes, I heard little clacking sounds against the titles. Turning I saw the little pup following me. Deciding not to turn around, I kept on walking to the kitchen.

When I walked into the kitchen I saw a lot of boxes all over the place. Dreading the awful task of looking around for the coffee maker, I went to the first box that was on the kitchen island.

"Please, let the coffee maker be in here," mumbling to myself, well to myself and the pup. Attempting to open the box with nothing, but using finger nails is a pain in the ass. Sure I could have gone looking for something sharp to open it, but I really don't want to go looking for them this damn early in the morning.

Sighing I give up trying to open the stupid box, instead I went back to where I was sleeping. With the young pup following me back. Bending down for the pants I was wearing last night, making sure my wallet was still in the pocket.

Heading to the door with intent to go get coffee, I still hear the clicking noise of nails hitting the floor board. Turning around I see the young pup following.

"Sorry buddy I can't take you with me," tilting his head, looking all cute like. I had to resist the urge to pick him up and cuddle him. Whoa, girly moment. Chuckling to myself, I pick him up and head back to the living room. Plopping him on my messed up sleep spot I told him to stay.

Rushing towards to the door because I knew he wouldn't have stayed. As I made my towards the SUV, I hear his little whimper start up and door being scratched.

"No don't give in Conner, he'll be alright," taking a deep breath and letting out slowly. I once again made my towards the vehicle, but the whimpering and scratching continue. Hanging my head down low, knowing I'm going to regret this.

Driving down around I was getting myself reacquainted with the town I left behind. So much has changed, my favorite ice-cream shop was closed and its place was clothing shop. Right now I'm hoping like hell that the coffee shop that served the best donuts was still where it was. If not I'm going to feel like I should have not came back to this town. That's a lie, even if the coffee shop was shut down I still would've came back. I miss my family, especially my uncle. After all he was the one that raised me.
