Arielle's POV

After finding Rhia's body in that passage of purple flowers a few of the pack warriors that came along with us picked up her broken body and carried it back to the pack house and brought her into the hospital area of the house. We placed her body in the morgue so that when all of this was over we could give her the right and respectable funeral service, we did not need to know what killed her because we could see what killed her... she was crushed from the inside I think basically every bone that was in her body was broken. I knew when I made eye contact with Zander as we stood over Rhia's body in the morgue that he was thinking the same thing that I was... This was my mother's doing. But why would my mother kill Rhia?

The past week has been hectic on everyone that is in the pack, many of the people that would be fighting in the battle were training all the women, children and men who were not fighting due to age, illness or pregnancy were going over what they had to do to make sure that they got into the underground safe house safely. We were also making sure that the safe house was stocked up on everything that the people that were going to be in there would need. I was pulled away from my thought about everything happening tonight by a warm hand being placed onto my right shoulder making me look over my shoulder to be met with Zander's face making Winter purr.

"Are you ready for tonight?"

I looked at Zander as I laid myself back against the leather chair that was in Zander's office as I looked up at his face meeting his eyes to see that they too just like mine held a small bit of fear. I shook the fear from my system as I sat up straight while shaking my head towards him letting a puff of air out of my lips

"No, but I know that I need to be strong for our pack. We will win this war and beat my mother, I promise you that Zander"

I watched as Zander did the same thing that I did and shook off the small bit of fear that he was feeling as he put on his 'alpha' mode, but before he could give me an answer his office door was opened and my uncle walked into the room followed by Zeke, Cara, Mikal, Nella and Alec. I gave each one of them a small smile as they came into the room which they all returned back to me as they took a seat in the chairs that were in the office.

"We need to get everyone in place including yourselves because it is already six pm, I have a feeling my sister is not going to hold off any longer."

I agreed with my uncle as I nodded my head at what he was saying, as I looked him over to see that it looked like he had not slept in a few days, seeing as he had light purple bags underneath his eyes.

"Okay uncle, then I need you to get everyone who will not be fighting in the battle and take them to the safe house and we will be off to our positions."

I did not really give him anytime to reply to what I told him as I had already stood up from the chair and was already out of the office and making my way out of the pack house to go to the east side of the property. When the majority of the people who were going to be in the battle was outside of the house we settled on a soft jog as we made our way towards where we would be. One we were a little ways away from the house one by one people started to jump in the air as they ran and transformed into their wolves as they continued running, including me as I jumped into the air twisting myself around as I turned into Winter.

I do not know how long we were out in the forest just waiting for the rogues to show up, but we waited... I felt as the cool breeze pushed through my white fur coat as I looked around at the pack member that were here with me waiting to protect their home from the filthy mutts that were trying to take it away from us. When the vicious sound of a growl echoed across the trees around us I knew that the rogues had arrived. When my eyes landed on the first rogue at first I was taken aback by the way that it looked, it had little to no fur on its body and the eyes were red.
