Chapter 1 The news

It was an average type of day as I would assume. Sleeping in was the best part of my day.

"Wake up!! Wake up!!! A boy cried jumping on top of me.
To late to speak.

" What's wrong", I question? Still trying to sleep as my little brother Kayden still jumping on my bed.

" The government is coming to everyone's houses", Kayden informed.

I get up to what Kayden just said. Making Kayden fall to the foor.

Ow!!! He shouted.

" Sorry little bro you deserved that. Learn to not interrupt my sleep and you won't be dead", I say being sarcastic to the last part of "being dead" Kayden didn't think I was kidding his eyes opened wide as he ran out the door and I could hear him hopping down the stairs to my parents.

I get out of bed looking through my closet. Oh well ,I thought in my head I can wear pjs down stairs its not like no ones gonna see me but my family and its not like I'm impressing them. I go to the bathroom and boy my hair look's like I got hit by lighting. Ugh this day! I brush my hair until I could put it in a pony tail. My blond streaks stick out to my brown in the pony tail.

I brush my teeth and but some mascara and cover up on not that I have much acne anyway. I head down stairs to see my mom in the kitchen probably making breakfast, My dad setting down in the dining room with his probably cold coffee from getting distracted by the news paper and Kayden watching cartoons. I love having a little brother so I have an excuse to watch cartoons.

"Sweetheart will you take the trash out", my mother asked putting a couple pancakes on my brothers plate. My mom knows I don't eat breakfast, I mean how can you be hungry this early in the morning!

" Sure", I replied. I grab the black trash bag and headed out on the driveway to wear the trash can is at the way end. I threw the trash away and was headed back inside before a deep voice surround my ears.

" Hey Sha ", he said smirking.

Every calls me that for short.
I turn around to see Heath standing on his deck.....shirtless. His body was rocking with his eight back.

" You like what you see? He says smiling big.

Fuck I was staring to long he caught me, but man any girl would die to be with him. He's my best friend and also ranked number one on being the biggest player. We grew up together, I knew everything about him and he knows everything about me. Ok Shailene don't say anything stupid.

" Nah, I'm lesbian", I quickly say. Oh shit did I really say that. He walks towards me and I'm breathtaken from his beautiful brown eyes.

"If you were than why are you looking at me with those beautiful eyes drooling over me", he tells the obvious.

" I'm not lesbian and I'm totally checking you out, Oh Fuck can this conversation end", I say knowing my face is red like a tomato.

" I love you Sha,you are something else also i love your pjs",He says chuckling.

I was about to leave until a warm hand wrapped my hand to spin me around face to face with Heath.

" Have you heard the government is coming by to people's door", he asks?
I nod my head.

"Do you know why", I asked him?
This time he nods. Than he went silent.

" Um okay are you gonna tell me why or stare at me like I'm stupid?

"Shailene", he's serious this time since he's using my full name.

" There gonna take are emotions away from us", he whispers only for me to hear.

"There WHAT", I shout.

" Shh! He cups my face. Do not say anything not even to your parents understand".

I shake my head yes and he gives me a kiss on my forehead. He walks away into his house leaving me frozen in place. Why could the government be doing this to us. The government is curel to us humans, Sometimes I think there aliens ready to take over the world. But I'm gonna stop them once and for all if they don't take my emotions away. I'll be thinking of Heath and I won't be smiling or even get butterfly's. At least there not gonna take are memories away to or are they? Ugh to much thinking!

I hear a car coming from the cracking of the road. I turn my head to see a white van and a couple of SUV's coming. Oh shit there here quicker than I thought. I get out of my thoughts and my position that Heath put me in and ran inside. I slammed the door and my whole family looks up at me. I feel my eyes burst into tears. This is probably the last time I will ever cry ever FEEL again. I take a couple breath before I speak.

" Mom,Dad, Kayden I will always love you", still breathing heavy.

My mom ran over to me to give me a warm hug, making my stomach feel better. Until someone is pounding on the door and my mother leaves me making my stomach empty inside to go answer the door.

" Hello Mr. And Mrs. Romo, where here to give you a needle to help you guys," the guy said looking about 25 years old as he smirked evilly.

My first thoughts were we need some holy water to put on this man.
