Chapter 4 Wal-Mart

I pulled up into the parking lot and found a spot to park that wasn't to far or to near to the doors. I hear a ringing sound. I look over to see Heath fishing out his phone from his pocket, he looks down and than back at me.

"This is important, I'm gonna stay here." He says. I nod my head as I hope out of my car. I go straight to the milk and grab a 2% gallon. I noticed someone staring at me I look over to my left to see a very built and tall man looking around my age staring dead at me. He was hot. Had jet black hair and the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. His muscles and abs stand out from the type of shirt he was wearing. He had some tattoos the you could bearly see on his upper arms. I'm pretty sure he has way more. Snap out of it Shailene. He knew I was checking him out,but he still was staring at me. So the only polite thing to do is stare back at him after five useless minutes I decided this was a waste of time. I head to section 8 where the candy was. I noticed the man had followed me. Ok....this isn't weird at all!! No one was around and he came up to me face to face. This is going to fast at least ask me out on a date first.

"Um hello." I say.

"Your not like them." He snaps.

"What?" Im confused.

" You still have your emotion's don't you." He hissed. I could feel my eyes go wide and he noticed to as he took out a gun and faced it to my forehead.

"Yes." I whisper.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm just like you." He informs me.

"Wait you have your emotion's to?"I asked. He shakes his head yes. He still hasn't lowered the gun.

" What's your name?" He asked.

"Shailene,but you can call me Sha." I tell him.

"Like Shae?"He asked.

" Yea just like Shae but I gusse without the e. I explain.

"It's a beautiful name." He whispers softly making me barely hear him. I blush.

"We need to stop them you know...... The government,we could work together." He exclaimed. I give him a smile. 
" The injection is making people die,Sha there gonna kill off the human race." He adds in.

"What, but why? I questioned.

" That's what I'm trying to figure out." He explains. "We also need to do some training." He adds in. I nod my head yes. 

"I used to do boxing and I'm a  professional shooter." He says smirking.

"Impressive." I say chuckling. "What's your name." I ask him.

"I'm Nate, Nate the great. He says smiling and boy his smile is the hottest thing I've seen. Before I could say anything a scream filled in the building. I look over to see a familiar face with blond and blue eyes...Stephanie!! I drop everything I had in my hands, shove Nate out of my way and ran over to her to cover her mouth. Everyone must of heard and reported to the government,because sirens were going off like someone was breaking out of prison and a speaker came on saying....

Please remain to whatever you were doing,the government is on their way thank you. It kept repeating that over and over.

" Shit." Nate yelled.

"We need to get out of here." I yelled over the sirens. I grab Stephanie's hand and Nate by my side and we run to the doors. The doors were closing for lockdown. I look up to see a camera.

"Keep your heads down." I ordered.
They both did what I told. A big fat guy got in my way but Nate flipped him over and took him down. Damn he was strong it only made him even hotter!!! We all got out just in time before the doors could close. We all three breathed heavier until I lead them to my car. Heath was sitting in the drivers side so I hopped in the passenger side. Once Stephanie and Nate get in the car Heath drives away.

"Candy bar." Stephanie said in a high pitched tone. Heath rolled his eyes.

"I told you not to call me that." He snaps.

She laughs.

"Like I would listen to you." She laughs even harder.

"Who's this?" He asked talking about Nate.

"This is~ I'm Nate,he says before I could.  No one said anything. We pulled up to my house and I opened the door to see no one is here. I run up stairs to Kayden's room...nothing!!!!! Heath was right behind me.

" They took him,they took my family."I said in shock. I could feel my eyes burning up with tears. It felt like tears were streaming down my face but only one tear ran down my cheeks.
Heath wrapped his arms around me.

"Hey,where gonna get them back,don't worry." He says softly. I get out of him arms and head down stairs with Heath following my trail.

"Ok everyone gather anything that would help us, as much food and water bottles you can get or find." I ordered. They all do as I say. I look over to see my backpack for school. I dump everything out and stuff some food not looking at what kind of food I grabbed and some water bottles. I also remember there's a gun under the couch and I grab that and stuff it at the bottom of the bag. Ten minutes went by and were already to go. We head back to the car and Heath sits in the drivers side again and I hop in the passenger side.

"Where we headed?" Heath asked.

"Where headed to the government head quarters." I informed.

"That's gonna take us weeks to find." Nate said.

"Not exactly, I'll take us probably a good couple of days to get to the forest and from there were gonna have to walk, but right now its gonna take us 24 hours just to get there so everyone get comfortable." Heath informs. I remember phones they could probably track us down.

"Throw your phones out the window." I informed.

"Why? Stephanie complained.

"Because I said so." I snapped.

"Fine." She threw hers first before saying sorry to her baby and gave it a kiss. Than Nate. Heath looked like he did but not sure I trust him tho he wouldn't let the government get us would he? He pulls out of the drive way and we start are journey. Don't worry Kayden I'm coming. I say to myself. After that I drifted off to sleep.
