Chapter 14 Pull through this

The wolf's walk slowly and me on the other hand is frozen. "Run" I tell myself but nothing happens. This is too much I fall on my knees in defeat. They keep walking slowly. I look over to my side to see Stephanie lying there defeated as well. I look to see her bullet wound,there was no blood. It's time for me to die once and for all, it's time to be at peace and if the government really needed me they would stop this. What am I thinking I'm not giving in. I have Kayden to go get. There getting closer. I get up as fast as I can and grab Stephanie's hand and start dragging her on the floor. "Your not gonna die." I tell Stephanie and myself hoping to believe what I just said. I keep looking straight ahead, everywhere is a maze.
I try to go as fast as I could but having another person to carry is tough and with a baby included. I slowed down to catch my breath, before I know it I'm surround by wolf's. I knew for sure that I'm gonna die. This is not how I expected to die not in this way at least. They take a step closer to me and Step. I close my eyes there's just so many of them.

Was all I heard. I open my eyes to see Nate shooting them. More was coming.

"Let's go." He demands not even asking me. He grabs my hand making me lose my grip on Stephanie.

"Wait what about Stephanie." I shout. Nate doesn't loosen his grip on me.

"She's not dead, that bullet has a liquid that makes her unconscientious,which gives a really bad scent to the wolf's and I found out they get there memories back." He shouts trying not to lose his breath. I heard more growls echoing in the hallways. This gives me an idea we need to get to the lab for more of those liquids. Up ahead was a white door closing. This was it. Make it or be the wolf's next dinner. I run as fast as I have ever thought I could. The door was now half way down both Nate and I slide down on the floor and we barely made it. A wolf was about to make it as well,but it wasn't fast enough and half its head popped of. Blood squirted out and bits of blood landed on my right hand. I wanted to barf but quickly wipe the blood on my clothes and tried not to think about it. On the other side of the door the wolf's jump trying to break the glass and the rest are eating the dead body of the  wolf. I can see Stephanie and knew Nate was telling the truth, she will be OK. Blood hit the window of the door which made me look away and turn around.

"We made it." He says telling the obvious. I don't know why but I run up to hug him.

"Thank you." I whispered in his ear.

"For what?"

"For everything." I say looking up at him than at his lips. He follows my eyes. He leans in and both are lips are in cynic together. I pull away. Heath's in my mind and gosh I really miss him. I don't really know if I'm exactly in love with him, heck I don't even know if we're together but all I know is I miss his warmth and his presents.

"I'm sorry."

He shakes his head and chuckle's.
"Don't be because I'm not,but I know Heath got your heart before me. He winks and we both start to walk. It was an awkward silence for me. I Sometimes felt his hand by mine but I moved my hand away and acted like I didn't notice. We Sometimes walked into dead heads. Ugh I just want Kayden back!  We kept going straight again and I saw something move. I was about to gasp but Nate put his hand around my mouth and holds me against the wall. 

" Promise me you won't scream on what you will be seeing and especially don't move." Nate tells me trying to hold his fear in. I knew he was scared but so was I. I was deadly afraid but if I let that stop than I would have been dead a long time ago. Nate let's go of me and walks out in the hallway with a gun glued to his hands. His muscles pop out and oh wow!!!  What am I thinking?

He gets a little closer,and the thing that I saw turned around and was now faced with a gun pointed to his head.

"Woah bro it's just me."

That was a voice that I had missed. I run over to give Heath a bear hug.

I hear him laughing. "Easy tiger." He chuckles as he puts me down.

"I missed you." I tell him.

"I missed you too." He frowns dropping his smile.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Look I need to tell you something." He says. Ok... What could he possibly say now!?!?

"Shawn made a deal with me, if I didn't kill him he would let you leave here, and I took the deal." My mouth drops. How could he do this. What side is he fighting on?!?!

"You were very stupid." I snap.

"Please Shailene, I'm trying to save you, don't you understand that."

I laughed hard at what he just said, making him raise his eyebrows in confusion. This dude has the nerve. I slapped him so hard that I left a red mark on his cheek making Nate laugh quietly.

"Please take this deal Shailene." He begs.

"No, I lost most of my family and I'm definitely not gonna lose anymore." I tell him.

"You can be safe, live a normal life." He explains to me.

"Yea because this world is finally normal. I might be safe but not innocent people who got there emotions taken away by force." I got in his face this time. "I'm gonna get everyone's emotions back and I'm definitely getting Kayden back!!! UNDERSTAND! I screamed.

" Please ". He says getting frustrated.

" I'll break it down for you to understand in that head of yours, if I stop trying than people will start dieing, so No I'm not taking the stupid deal that you made. " I yelled. I am furious. This guy can really mess with my feelings.

"Ok." He says giving in.

"Let's go, we already wasted enough time." Nate implies. He's right so we all start jogging. I pass tons of doors with people's names on them,there all in alphabetical order. I looked and spot at a door with bolded letters:

Kayden Romo

I stop and so does the boys. They look at the door than back at me.

"What do you want to do?" Nate asked.

"Both of you go to the lab and I'll meet you there." I told.

"You don't even know where the lab is, you should have one of us stay with you." Heath explain.

Let's see have Heath go to the lab by himself and he could tell every guard where here or have him stay with me and have no idea what's behind this door.

"Here take this." I give a walkie talkie to Nate.

"How did you find these?" Heath asks.

"When you were fighting the asshole I found them by the cell, I guess some of the guards forgot about these." I say not looking him in the eye. He has a lot to do before he could ever think about getting my trust back.

They both nod there heads.

"Give me a call when ever." Nate orders. I give him a shy smile and nod my head as my response to yes.

They both jog straight ahead and they disappeared as they turn left. I turn around to now face the door. I put my hand on the door knob and twist it when it creaks open. I see him.....tied to a chair. He looks up at me.

"Shailene." He whimpers. My hand was on my mouth to stop from crying and screaming. This was bad than I thought. He had bruise everywhere, puffy eyes from crying. Dried up blood all over his clothes. He looked horrible for a seven year old to look like. I shut the door and was about to give him a hug when I see a gun aimed at his head.

"Glad you could finally join us princess." Mr Evil man smirked.
