"Mum, I'm going out for an hour!" Pandora was wearing a black kimono with white jeans and a burgundy crop top. She wasn't dressed appropiatley and Georgia knew that. "Just don't be out for too lo-" Pandora slammed the door before her mum could finish. Georgia walked passed Pandora's room and noticed how messy it was so she thought that Pandora would be appreciative if she tidied it. She wiped the windows, tidied the bookshelf, mopped the floor and all that was left was to do the bed. But she came across a letter. Good luck Pandora. She opened it read it, it said about the Parent's Day. She sat down and thought about it. Her decision was made. But she wasn't going to tell Pandora.

It was final, she was definitely going to this Parent's Day, maybe Pandora would see more to her mother than just a Cyclopes woman. Pandora was back earlier than Georgia expected. "Oh, Pandora! How was it." Pandora just looked at her mother, as Georgia did look a bit edgy for some reason. Pandora wanted to know. "It was OK, where's dinner, I'm starving." Pandora took off her kimono and she had cold goose bumps running across her arms. An hour later, they were eating noodles and fried vegetables, Pandora's favourite. "So do you like it?" Georgia said eyes stuck in Pandora. Pandora just nodded. Georgia was finished in the kitchen and when she went to bed, she walked passed Pandora's room to find she was fast asleep. What was she really doing when she went out? Georgia went back to her bedroom, sat on the bed and sorted her plan. Tomorrow would be a better day.

It had been the eve of the Parent's Day and Georgia was prepared, the next day Pandora tried so hard to be out of her mum's reach. She woke up early, trying not to wake her mum up, she made breakfast; something small. And just as she was putting her cereal bowl in the sink, her mum walked in and said, "What are you doing up and early?" Georgia was dressed for the Parent's Day but she kept that secret. "I was just leaving, Kendall was going to give me a ride!" Georgia wasn't convinced but Pandora wasn't the only one lying. "Anyway, you can go, I'm going for a work interview. Do I look OK?" Pandora just nodded, but she wasn't really worried about that, she just needed to go before her mum found out about the Parent's Day.

Pandora ran over to Simone and Kendall. They were waiting by Pandora's locker. "Pandora why were you so late. Period 1 starts in 3 minutes." She just sighed and smiled, she couldn't be bothered to tell the story. She told them that she would tell later anyway. "Come along guys, don't be late!" Mr Sterling said, "I'll be looking forward to seeing your roots." Pandora just rolled her eyes when Simone and Kendall looked at her concerned. She knew she would get a detention, but she thought it was better off people not knowing about her mum.

Parent's Day had started, they came in and went away after doing a 6 minute talk about what they do for a living. Mr Sterling's view was stuck on Pandora, she knew that but she avoided looking at him. But when she looked up him, her heart sunk. It was Georgia. Mr Sterling read out from a register... "Up next is Mrs Rickman, informally Georgia. Pandora's mum." Everyone clapped for Pandora and her mum but it didn't change how angry she was with Georgia...
