Chapter 8

Jasmine's POV
My heart was beating as Carlos held my hand to our date. "Carlos where are we going?" I giggled.

He kisses my cheek, "You'll see."

We walked past a stream and walked somewhere into the woods. He covered my eyes.

"Ugh Carlos!! I can't walk like this" I whined.

"I'm helping you out we are almost there" He assured me. We walked for about five more minutes then he suddenly stopped.

"Okay I'm gonna put my arms down" He tells me. I nodded excitedly.

His arms went from my eyes to my waist and he was hugging me from behind. I opened my eyes and saw a beautiful picnic. I gasped and covered my mouth.

"Carlos it's beautiful!!!" I squealed.

I turn to face him, "Only the best for the most amazing girl in the world" He smiles.

I kiss him, "Well I'm happy that I'm on a date with the most amazing boy in the world" I giggle.

He smiles and leads me to the picnic. Don't let him get to you...you're evil...make me proud. I turn to see where the voice came from. No one was there.

"Jas you okay?" Carlos asks me.

I smile and nod, "If it's a picnic where is the food?" I ask him, sitting down beside him.

Carlos just smirks, "I'll be right back" He gets up and goes into the woods.

Jasmine....don't make you're dear old father suffer...I will be so happy if you take over the world by yourself. It was my father trying to get into my head. I wasn't gonna let him.

I look at the sky. Beautiful day and I'm with the boy I'm madly in love with. What could be better. I wonder how Mal is doing on her date with Ben?

I hear branches rustling, "Carlos?" I asked softly.

Nothing just crunching, "Carlos this isn't funny!!" I started to get upset.

I got up and headed to where the branches sound was heard.

"Carlos the jokes over come out now!!" I yell. I feel someone grab me from behind and I start to scream. I turn and it was Carlos.

"Woah what's wrong???" He holds me.

I smack his arm, "Don't ever do that again!"

He nods and hugs me. We sit down. "So where's the food?" I ask.

He smiles and whistles. I see Dude come out with a cute little tuxedo and a little basket in his mouth.

"Aww Dude! Come here" I patted my lap, he drops the basket and jumps in my arms. I put him down when Carlos hands me a sandwich.

"So who helped you with this?" I ask smiling and he does too.

"Evie" He simply says.

Then he blurts out a question, "When did you start to have feelings for me?"

I bit my lip, "When we were 6"

"When did you start to have feelings for me?" I ask.

"When we first met" He replied.

"You did amazing at the game" I giggled. He shrugged.

"Just wanted to show off for you."

"You didn't have to" I tell him and I kiss his lips.

"You wanna do something fun?" He asks.

I nod and stand up as he does too. He grabs my waist and holds my hand. We start to move and I realize what he was doing. I pulled away.

"What's wrong?" He asks worried.

"I can't dance" I muttered, embarrassed.

He pulls me closer "Then I will teach you" I hesitated but then I let him guide me.

We started to waltz and I melt in his arms.

Don't let him use you.

I stop once I see Dude nudge Carlos.

"I think he wants a walk" I giggle.

Carlos smiles, "Are you sure you're gonna be okay?" He asks me and I kiss his lips.

"Yeah!" I assured him as he smiles and then goes into the woods and disappears.

You're evil! Make me proud.

I sigh and sit down. I wonder if Mal is going through the same thing?

Jasmine: A million thoughts in my head. Should I let my heart keep listening?

Mal: Cause up til now, I've walked the line. Nothing lost but something missing.

Both: I can't decide what's wrong.
What's right. Which way should I go? If only I knew what my heart was telling me. Don't know what I'm feeling. Is this just a dream? Ah oh, if only. If only I could read the signs in front of me. I could find the way to who I'm meant to be. Ah oh if only...

Jasmine: yeahh... Am I crazy? Maybe we could happen.

Mal: Will you still be with me? When the magics all run out?

Both: If only I knew what my heart was telling me. Don't know what I'm feeling. Is this just a dream? If only....

I hear Carlos come back with Dude happily by his side. "Hey I'm back, you feeling ok?" He asks.

"Um yeah just thinking" I say.

He then sits Dude down and comes toward me. "Jasmine I need to ask you something" He begins to say, I nod.

"I know you're dad hates me, and we are supposed to be evil and never have love in our hearts. But I love you Jasmine so much from the day I first laid eyes on you. I wouldn't let my mom, you're dad, even the wand get in the way of my love for you. And heck if we are gonna have to take over the world, I want you to be by my side. I love you Jasmine Hook, and so I'm asking will you be my girlfriend, love, soulmate, and the only thing my heart desires?" He says it all to me.

I honestly melted. His words were music to my ears. I loved him so much. And I'm not gonna let my father get in the way of that.

"Carlos....I love you so much, you make me happy and I want to be with you forever. And I won't let my dad get in the way of my love and desire for you. I want to be by your side wherever you go. I love you Carlos DeVil. And yes I would be honored to be your girlfriend." I smiled. He does too and kisses me softly.

"Here" He whispered. He opens his hand and shows a heart shaped locket.

"Carlos!" I squealed and tackled him in a hug. Inside the locker were two pictures. One was when we were very little and we were playing pranks on everyone in town. The other was a recent one we took once we got in Auradon.

"I love it! Can you put it on me?" I ask.

He nods, "I would love to, my beautiful girlfriend" I giggle. He puts it on me. I look on the front and it has an engraving C+J.

"I love you Carlos" I smile. "I love you too Jasmine" he smiles and pulls me in for another kiss.
Sorry it's so short but I promise the next will be longer. I'm just so happy they got together. About time!!!😂😂 lol jk! Anyway I enjoyed writing this and I promise to start working on the next so it will be out sooner. Love you guys!
