4: Friends.

"Race you!" Damian yelled.
They all looked at each other and ran, Leaving me behind. Assholes. I laughed and walked toward the playground. I saw a little girl about 8 years old. She was hanging out with 3 other boys her age. She looked so happy and I couldn't help but smile. They seemed to take care of her without being asked too. I looked around to find the guys. I spotted Ricardo and Jake sliding down the slides. Jose was laying on top of the playground roof. Damian and Adrian were on the swings. Adrian looked so happy and his eyes twinkled. He was so active, was he always like that? I walked toward them.
"Okay, so Jack in the box or in n out?" Jose asked.
"In n out!" The guys yelled.
"Okay. I know what all you want but...." Jose turned to look at me. "I have no idea what you like."
I smiled. "I'll come with you."
He nodded. "Okay let's. I'll be back guys."
We walked back to the car and the question still in my mind. Was Adrian gay?
On our way to in and out, I couldn't help but ask Jose.
"Hey......You've known Adrian for a while right?" I asked shyly.
He looked at me for a second then looked at the road again. "Yeah why?" He said.
"And you guys are like bestfriends." I continued.
"Yes." He nodded.
"Well.....Is he...You know..." I said shyly. I regretted asking. "Nevermind."
"No. Come on. Tell me." Jose pleaded.
I bit my lip. "Is Adrian gay?"
Jose laughed. "What do you think?!"
My mouth dropped open. "He is?!"
''Well duh. Yes he is and he's open about it too. He came out freshmen year. He lost a lot of guy friends. But we stayed cause honestly it really doesn't or shouldn't matter. So what he likes dick." Jose said smiling. "We've been through thick and thin so why lose our friendship over that."
I smiled at Jose and I stared at without meaning to. He turned to look at me and he smiled softly. We finally got to in n out. We ordered and got the fuck out.

After we ate, we laid next to a tree. We talked about me, I didn't like being the topic. But whatever. I closed my eyes and slowly I drifted to sleep.

My eyes slowly opened, it was dark outside. I looked around, the guys were peacefully asleep. Adrian had his head laid on Damian's stomach. His feet were on top of Jake. Ricardo was laying on the right side of the tree and Jose was on the left. I smiled, then I checked my phone and I had 6 miss calls from dad. No, not my really dad. I call my Step dad dad. The reason was that my mom had left my dad when I was like 2 and married my dad. He has taken better care than my real father. I dialed his number and waited for him to answer.
"Rose?! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?! I AM WORRYING MY ASS OFF." Dad yelled.
I laughed. "Dad calm down. I'm a big girl now. I'll be home right away. Okay?".
He sighed. "Okay. Love you."
"Love you too dad." I said and hung up.
I looked at the peaceful babies. I smirked and jumped top of Jake. He gasp as the air left his body. I laughed.
"Shit! Rose that hurt!" He puffed.
I laughed. "Wake up."
I stood up and I pulled Damian's nose. He screamed, Causing the others to wake up.
"You know NORMAL people would've pat my head or my shoulder." Damian said rolling his eyes.
They all groaned. "Shut up. Can I get a ride home?" I asked.
"No! Tell her no!" Jake said rubbing his stomach. "She jumped on me."
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah." Jose said rolling his eyes.
"I'm so tired." Adrian said in a sleepy voice.
I helped him get up. "Me too."
Damian got up as well. "Then let's go. Tomorrow's Friday right?"
"Yeah." Ricardo said.
"I heard Lacy is having a party. You guys wanna go?" Jake asked.
"I'm down." Damian said.
"Same here." Jose said.
Ricardo just nodded. "Adrian?"
Adrian looked thoughtful. "Is Rose going?"
"Well duh." Damian smiled.
"Okay I'm down." Adrian said happily.
"Wait....I'm-" Before I could finish Adrian twirled me around.
"Wear something nice." He said.
"Wait....." I sighed. "Okay."
They finally took me home. Dad was outside waiting. I was about to get off when Damian grabbed my phone. He typed something in it then passed it around. I smiled when he gave it back to me.
I looked down at my phone and laughed at the names they put.
Jose.
Damian baby.
Bestfriend.
Jake.
Ricardo.
I hugged them and got out. Dad stood up and hugged me like he hadn't seen me in years.
"Tell me you aren't coming home late everyday." He said.
I laughed. "Maybe. Is mom home?"
He let me go. "Late at work."
I frowned. "Thanks...."
He sighed. "Sorry sweetheart."
"It's okay." I smiled.
We went inside. I told dad that I was tired and I want to shower as fast as possible. He looked at me like I was crazy. He shrugged and told me goodnight. I ran up to my room. I had a bathroom in my room and a walk in closet. They had given me the biggest room in the house. I showered and fell asleep.

I dragged myself out of bed. I went to wash my face and teeth. I got ready and I was about to grab my backpack when I heard my dad yell my name. I ran downstairs quickly.
"Who they hell are they?!" My dad whined.
I looked at the five guys sitting in my living room. Adrian looked really quite which scared me a little. Dad looked like he had just woken up. I smiled and then laughed.
"Their my friends." I told dad.
"Friends?!" My dad choked out.
"I thought you said your dad pasted away?" Damian asked.
"He did this is my Step dad." I said.
"Ohhhhh." They all said.
"Okay! Then how the hell did the get in my house?!" My dad screamed.
I gave him a confused look. "I walked down here to get coffee and earrings over here waves at me like we're family." My dad screams.
I look at them. Damian smiles.

Jose's POV:

Ricardo parked the car in front her house. Adrian bit his lip.
"Come on we'll go knock." I finally said.
We got off and I ran to her door. I knocked and a lady who looked like Rose opened. She smiled at us. "Well hello there. What may I do for you?"
"Is Rose here?" Adrian asked with a baby voice.
The lady smiled sweetly. "Yes. She's still in bed though. Come in please."
She opened the door wider and let us in.
We didn't even bother being shy. We just weren't, well Adrian was very shy. He was still a bad boy though. He would ditch and manage to have perfect grade. He didn't talk much to strangers But lately he has been talking more. Maybe it's because of Rose.

"Would you guys like some coffee?" The lady asked.

We nodded. "So I'm guessing your Rose's sister?" Jake asked.

She giggled. "Oh no. I am her mother."

"Lies." Damian said sweetly.
She handed each one of us a cup of coffee.

She gave us a shy giggle. Wow now I know why Rose is beautiful. Her mom is beautiful.
"Well sorry boys but I got to get going. Rose should be up any minute now. You can help yourself to anything you like." She smiled and grabbed her things and left. Damian got up and walked to the kitchen. After 5 minutes he came back with 2 muffins. He handed one to Adrian. Adrian blushed without control. I smiled, I knew something Adrian had been keeping since the 6th grade. I never talked about because I didn't want him to feel weird. He finally grabbed it and Damian gave him a prized smile. Again Adrian redden. Finally a man came down as well. He didn't notice us at first. But when he did he looked like he had just seen a ghost. Damian waved at him.

"Rose!!!!" He yelled.
I heard fast foot steps. She came down looking beautiful. She was wearing a black and red long sleeve shirt with light blue jeans. Her hair was down perfectly falling in place.

"Who the hell are they?" Her dad whined.

She looked at us and laughed. "They're my friends."

"Friends?!" Her dad choked out.

"I thought you said your dad past away?" Damian said.

"He did. This is my step dad." She said.

"Ohhhhh." We all said.

"Okay how the hell did they get in my house?!" Her dad screamed.
"Your mom." Ricardo said.
Rose looked at us confused. "I came down to get coffee and earrings over here waves at like we're family." He screamed.

"Oh dad. They're friends." She said kissing his cheek. "Hold on. Let me grab my things."
