Chapter 1: Admitting

"I know what you are."
"You do?"
"Vampire."

   Adeline's POV

    "How did you find out?" He whispered
"Jasper. I know this going to sound weird but..." I trailed off. "Please, I'm used to weird. I'm a vampire for crying out loud." He said. "Okay, well in the car on the way here my mom dropped a tube of Chapstick. Well when she did, I had a vision, my life flashed in front of my eyes. I saw almost the future, I don't know if that's what going to happen but still. I saw your whole family and the voltouri and well. Jasper if what I saw was true, I know I just met you but there will be more. I'm afraid of what's coming." I explained. "Stay here." He told me.
  Jasper walked over to Carlisle and placed a hand on his shoulder. Edward gave him a very worried look and then he turned to face me. He let out a gasp as he read my thought and saw my vision. "Carlisle, Alice was right." Edward said. Carlisle nodded and said goodbye to my mom. I shot Jasper a confused look. "Tonight." He whispered and walked away with his family.
   "So, Jasper seems like a nice kid." My mom said walking into her office. "Yeah," I said trying to ignore the subject. "Well, you ready?" She asked licking something out of her desk. "Yes." I said walking towards the door.

   We drove home in silence while my mom called in for pizza. After a small conversation dinner, I went upstairs to get ready for bed. I took a quick shower and changed into a pair of pajama shorts and a t shirt. I turned my phone on shuffle and slipped my ear buds in. I laid with my feet towards the top of the bed on top of the covers reading.

   I looked over at my clock to see it read 1:37 am. I decided that I would finish the chapter and then go to bed. A heavy thud came from my window making me jump. I looked over to see Jasper leaning against the open window. "What are you-" he cut me off. "Shh!" He said running over to me at vampire speed putting a finger up to my lip shush me.
   "Adeline, your mom is sleeping. Will you please come over to my place. We will have you back in time for school." He told me. "Okay, let me change real quick." I said getting up. "No, we need to go right now." He said. "I will carry you out to the car."
  He scooped me up in his arms and jumped out the window with me bridal style. He ran me to the car and buckled me up. I fell asleep leaning against his shoulder. He unbuckled me slowly trying not to wake me but it didn't work. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." He said. "It's okay," I told him. He picked me back up again and walked me out of the garage and into the house.
   I yawned and curled up into his arms as he pressed me against his chest. "Is that you Jasper?" Esme asked. "Yes, it's us." He responded. "We're in the living room." She told him. He walked me into a big room with white furniture. Sitting in the big room was Esme and Alice on the couch, Emmett and Edward sitting in the chairs with Rosalie sitting on the armrest, and Carlisle standing.
  Jasper gently set me on my feet and leaned me against his chest. "Addie, Jasper told me what happened and Edward saw your vision. Would you like to tell us in person?" Carlisle asked me.
"We were on our way to the hospital when my mom dropped her tube of Chapstick. Before I could bend down to pick it up, I think I had a vision. My life flashed in front of my eyes. I heard the sound of metal crunching and Jasper pulled me off to the side of the road, I was taken to the hospital. I was in a coma for weeks and then I went back to my house.
"After a few days, you told me what you were. I went into a trance, I would still breath and stuff but one day I broke out of the trance and I came here. I was ready to be changed. You did what I requested. I had a power. I had the ability to take away others power and give them to myself. I had trouble with Emmett's power since his was strength. It changed my body. I grew all big and muscly which stretched out my skin and broke some of my bones. I was in pain for a few days, along with Emmett, and then I got better.
   "Alice then had a vision saying the voltouri were coming. I remembered that I went upstairs to take a shower. I got out of the shower and found a note on the bed. It said that Jasper had to leave with Alice. I was a wreck for days. Finally Alice called saying they would be here tomorrow morning. We all awaited in a big snow covered field.
   "Aro was there. He was speaking with you Carlisle when Jasper and Alice came back. I ran to greet him. He held me in his arms but then it was time to fight. I helped you guys fight. But then a girl named Jane be headed you Jasper. And Aro did as well to Carlisle.
   "I finished off Jane but I then fell to my knees sobbing. Emmett carried me out to the forest to keep me out of the battle. I then saw a tube of Chapstick lying on the ground. That's where the vision ended." I explained.
  "I see. Thank you," Carlisle said. "Is that really going to happen?" I asked voice shaking. "Most likely not. That's what could have happened. But we might have to change you. Now that you know." He told me. I nodded. "Do you have any questions?" Esme asked me. "I think I know everything." I told her. "Okay," she responded. "Do you want me to take you home or would you like to sleep for a while?" Jasper asked me. "However I can get to sleep fastest." I told him. "You can sleep in my room. I will bring you home right before its time for you to wake up for school." He explained. I nodded and he lifted me gently into his arms.
   I wrapped my legs around his waist as he pressed my head to his chest. I started getting sleepier as he carried me upstairs. He walked into a room with a big bed and a gold and maroon bedspread. He pulled back the blankets a little and set me down he tucked me in and headed for the door. "No!" I cried softly. "What's wrong?" He asked turning around. "Don't leave." I told him. "Okay." He said walking towards a chair. He sat down and watched me as I drifted to sleep.
