Chapter 7

      Edward and Emmett went to go clean themselves off while Jasper stayed with Carlisle. He didn't care how much puke he was covered in. After Carlisle had a good grip on everything, he went downstairs to his family.
Jasper sat next to the bed holding her hand for hours. Suddenly her heart monitor started beeping like crazy. "CARLISLE!" Jasper screamed. He came running up the stairs with Edward. "Get me the air machine!" Carlisle yelled. He entered the big tube down her throat and set it up.
She was now breathing on a machine. She had tubes and wires coming off of every uncovered part of her body. "What just happened?" Jasper asked out of breath. "Her lungs where hiding water deep down inside and started filling them up and she couldn't breath. That was slowing her heart down. It was starting to fill her veins." He explained. Jasper kicked the chair next to the bed sending it flying across the room. He stormed out of the room and outside.
Emmett followed him out to the backyard with Edward. "What are you doing?" Emmett yelled at him. "I killed her! I made her try to kill herself and now she's dying because of me!" He yelled back at Emmett. "Then I suggest you go back in there and fight with her." He growled at him. "I can't do anything. This is out of my hands Emmett, she's fighting alone now." Jasper explained. "You idiot! You march your butt in there and save her!" He yelled. "I can't!" Jasper screamed running at him.
Emmett continued to fight him to let his anger out while Edward stood there looking at them. After Emmett felt he had enough, he pinned Jasper to the ground. "You ready?" He asked Jasper. "Yeah," he said springing to his feet.

       Days went by. Adeline finally moved to Jasper's bed. She would go in and out of sleep. At 1:34 am, she woke up alone in Jasper's bedroom.

    I sat up in bed all tangled up in chords. My medicine must have worn off because pain shot through my body. I stifled a cry but chocked on it. I ended up screaming in pain. I threw up my medicine all over the bed and the night gown I was wearing. Esme, Carlisle, and Emmett ran upstairs.
   My body flopped all over the bed. "Emmett hold her down." Carlisle barked at him. Emmett locked me in place while Carlisle tried to untangle me. Esme went to go get me more clothes. "I need to go get something. Stay here. Make sure her heart keeps beating." Carlisle said leaving the room.

    

      "Carlisle where is he?" I groaned as he walked to my side. "He is hunting with rose, Edward, and Alice." He explained. "Does he know?" I asked through my teeth. "No, they are trying to keep him out. He won't be able to stay out much longer."

        Adeline had gotten better over the days. Alice and Jasper had to leave. They never came home from their hunting trip. She went back to her house now to horrified to go back to the Cullen's. Everyone took turns watching guard at her place now that she was alone.

  

    I walked out onto the balcony with a cup of pudding in my hand. Standing in the backyard was Emmett. I went over to railing, swung my legs over, and took a seat. "Careful, you might fall." he warned me. "And you would catch me, right?" I asked. "I would catch you." He responded. "Good," I said ending the conversation. "Who's coming next?" I asked him. "Edward." He replied. I nodded. "I'll be right back." I said swinging my legs back over and walking inside.

   I threw my pudding cup away and walked upstairs.

     Emmett waited patiently for Edward to come back. Finally he saw him running through the woods. "We need to hurry. Get in the house!" He yelled. "What's wrong?" Emmett asked following him. "She's trying to kill herself again!" He yelled kicking down the front door.
   The ran upstairs to the bathroom where she sat on the toilet trying to open a bottle of pills. "It won't open!" She cried. Edward and Emmett ran over to her. Emmett fought her off trying to get the bottle out of her hands. He kicked her back into the wall spraying water everywhere from the damage toilet.
   Edward picked her up and put her on his lap. The pills spilled out of the bottle and onto the floor. "No! Look what you did!" She screamed crying. Edward clutched her close and ran out of the room.
  Edward ran home with Emmett close behind. He ran in the front door and up the stairs with her screaming and kicking at him. "What happened?" Esme exclaimed. "Where's Carlisle?" He asked. "At work. What happened Edward?" She asked again. "She tried to kill herself again. Call him please." He said coldly. "Already did." Emmett said running inside.
   "What did she try to do?" Esme asked over Addie's crying and screaming. "Pills." Emmett responded. "Carlisle coming. I can hear his thoughts getting closer and closer. "Emmett, I'm losing my grip on her can you take her?" Edward asked. Emmett walked over and scooped her up bridal style out of Edward's arms.
   Carlisle ran inside a few minutes after Emmett took her. They went upstairs where Adeline fell asleep.
