Hello my lovely readers!! Above is the pic of the secret room.

I've decided to make Caloua and Svek's stay with Gloria into two chapters because... Yeah. I'm not gonna write a 7000 word chapter. Ever. Unless I need to as in HOLY POTATOES THERES A FIGHT SCENE NO CLIFFYS PLZ!!! I don't do that. I finish the fight scene.

I promise that I'll get to the part where she meets her mate, but until then, she is an independent young woman. It's not like I hate stories without any single girl action, it's just that I want you to get to know Caloua before I send her off to her mate. I PROMISE SHE WILL REMAIN INDEPENDENT EVEN AFTER SHE MEETS HER MATE! I'm not gonna suddenly make her weak. I don't do that.

Anywho... Anyone who actually decided to read my long butt A/N, please comment your favorite character so far!

"Okay," I said, getting ready to tell Gloria about who I was and what I needed. "So, you see, my brother and I are sort of between a rock and a hard place. So, apparently I'm being hunted and we are on the run. We need somewhere to stay, at least for a week. Could you, maybe, please help us?" I pleaded. Gloria needed to say yes. If she didn't... if she didn't... I wasn't going to think about that.

Thankfully, she nodded. "Okay. I'll take you in, but only for a week. This is my town, and I have to protect it. I'll also glamour your hair, eyes, and fur. It's the least I can do for you after you let me crash even though I was a stranger."

I smiled gratefully, tears welling up in my eyes. Gloria was a good woman. A very good one, willing to risk her life for me. Willing to commit treason for a mere acquaintance.

"Thank you," Svek said from beside me, voicing the very thought that ran through my head nonstop.

"Well, this is it," proclaimed Gloria as we stepped into a tiny townhouse.

Or, at least the outside made it appear tiny.

Inside, the foyer soared for three stories, with balconies overlooking it. Multiple doors branched off to Goddess knows where and a large hallway was at the far end. The entire roof was domed and made of glass. Marble pillars surrounded the enormous space.

I froze, walked backwards out of the house, and stood there, peering at the townhouse. It was cute; brick with a yellow door.

I stepped back into the marvelous foyer. IT WASNT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE AND I WAS HAVING A FREAK OUT!!!

"G-Gloria?" I asked in a squeaky voice, "What did you do?"

She looked at me then burst out laughing. It was a hearty sound, but I couldn't put my finger on the reason she was laughing. This was no laughing matter. "It's a simple spell that warps physics in one particular place. I can create a reality of extra space. This isn't an illusion. This is my home!"

She got a secretive smile on her face. I was highly suspicious. "Buuuut... Sometimes I change it up...." With a wave of her hand, the entire house changed. My stomach churned and I fought back a wave of nausea while she used magic. In case you hadn't noticed, it was very bad to put a supernatural in the presence of another supernatural's power. For example, witch magic made me queasy.

When the spinning stopped and Svek didn't have two heads again, I surveyed the new interior. This time, it was incredibly normal. The small foyer we were standing in had an iron wrought coat rack, and then a short hallway stretched before us, with a side table and cherry hardwood flooring. It probably led to a kitchen. To our left was carpeted stairs and to our right was a small den with a piano pushed up against the wall. A large window with a long window seat dominated the front of the room. Instead of looking out on a small town street though, we were viewing a vast field of flowers with trees and mountains in the distance.
