Chapter 10 - I Spy a Demon

"587, 588, 589, 590, 591..." Allen counted shirtless while doing push ups on one arm while balancing on a chair on one leg. "...598, 599, 600."

He sat back down taking a break. A heat wave has set through the school but that didn't bother Allen too much being used to different kinds of extreme weathers.

"Oi Timcanpy." Allen said calling the golden golem. The little golem sat atop of Allen's fore head. "I wonder what Mephisto is up too? What does he have installed for Rin? Can I really trust him with this?"

His questions weren't answered but he didn't expect any answers either. Mephisto was as twisted as a bared wired fence including the spikes. For the least part if Rin is useful to Mephisto he won't let Rin die, he assumed. Still it didn't reassure Allen and actually made him feel worse.

"Ahh, what on earth is that bastard Mephisto thinking?" He asked himself. Allen then felt his eye activate. He could see the Cat demon that always stood at the front was going on a rampage. He ran down into the down the hall putting on a dress shirt at the same time to Yukio and Rin's room. He could hear the pair bickering again then what sounded like a slap.

"Yukio!" He busted the door open to see Yukio's glasses were broken and sat atop of Yukio's head.

"Hah, ha, a miracle! A miracle just happened!" Rin said with what might have been a hint of fear.

"This is nothing to laugh about!" Yukio said demonically. Rin swallowed. Yukio then answer his cell that just went off.

"Understood. I'm coming right away." He said hanging up.

"A mission?" Rin said a little excited.

"It has nothing to do with you." Yukio said sternly.

"Does it have something to do with a rampaging cat demon?" Allen stated not asked.

"How did you-" Yukio looked at Allen with bewilderment. He then stared at Allen's eye that had activated.

"I can see the entire school area for demons. Spotting this one was child's play." He said. Satisfied with that Yukio opened a draw filled with tones of spare glasses taking one out.

'How many spares does he have?' Allen thought with a sweat drop. The three then left for the South entrance of the school.

"Nii-san! Allen-kun! What are you doing here?" Yukio asked taken aback not expecting the pair to follow him.

"There is no way I'm to ignore something in front of my eyes." Allen said referring to the demon. He could feel something odd has happened to it.

"I'm worried about your glasses." was Rin's reply.

"You're not making sense!" Yukio yelled. "And I don't have time to play with you now! Go home!"

"Not gonna happen." Rin said cheekily. "And why does Allen get to come?"

"Because he's smart unlike you." Yukio shot back.

"Hey, don't get me into your fight, guys." Allen said lifting his hands in defence. A strange roar interrupted the soon be fight and the three plus another exorcist ran to the front.

"Explain the situation." Yukio said.

"Blackie, the guardian Cat Sith of the southern rear gate has gone berserk. We have sealed a mile of the road." The exorcist explained.

Allen laid his eyes on what looked like a huge black cat with green horns and a spilt twin tails standing on top of road signs that towered over the road. Exorcists had they're guns trained on the demon. He could see the Neko's soul. It was in turmoil screaming not in pain but despair.
