Ronnie's POV
"Who does she thinks she is?! Talking to me like that, making me feel stupid. I'm not crazy Joy, she was defiantly looking at me!" I rambled, waving my knife around like a crazy woman. Joy, my best friend just sat there sipping on her wine listening to my craziness.
"Ronnie, I look at you your mother looks at you even your father. What are you complaining about!?" She was clueless! Oblivious to the fact that I was talking about being "looked at".
"Joy. She was looking at me like I was ice cream and she was in the dessert!" Joy was just sitting thinking to herself quietly as I finished up the salad I was working on cutting up.
"Your reading too much into a simple encounter. Now give me my food." Doing as she said I ate in silence figuring that I was wrong in this situation.
"Your right...." I admitted defeatedly.
"I know I'm right...I'm joy!"
"Movie time!!!" I screeched ignoring her cocky comment and racing to the couch" I win I get first movie pick....kronks new groove?"
"Fine...loser." Me and Joy were best friends and we have been since before I can remember, this was normal for us. She was like a sister and I loved her like one and if not that then even more.
We've been through everything together, our first crush, our first heart break...everything.
A knock sounded at the door making me and joy jump. We were in the middle of 'The Omen'.
"Joy, go get the door" I was too scared to move this movie was creeping me out!
She got up and answered the door, did I mention She's my best friend...the most awesomest person ever.
"Who is it?"
"You owe me cookies!"
"It's her!!!" I whispered across the room.
Joy opened the door, stared for a second and then held out her hand for Marcie to shake. "Hi, I'm Joy"
"Marcie, um this is Ronnie's apartment right?"
"Um yeah."
Interrupting their conversation I brought a baggie of cookies out. "Here you go." Joy looked at me weirdly.
"Would you like to stay for a while? It's movie night" Joy was going crazy! Why would she even think of letting her stay.
"Um...I don't know"
"Please please please" She was irritating me.
"Joy she said no already stop it."
I gave Marcie a quick glance she was in dark gray basket ball shorts and a tight t-shirt with some random band name on it. She was only a few inches taller than me without my heels and her beautifully toned body glanced back at me with daring eyes.
"Know what maybe I will stay...I'm already in my pj's."
Joy grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the couch. This was going to be a long night.
Of course Joy had sat Marcie in the middle, and of course she was the first one asleep. Sitting next to her had my blood pumping my fingers sweaty and my mind going in circles. I can't say for sure what it was about her that made me react this way but what ever it was it was something real. She made me scared, made me feel like she had so much control over me and how I went about things.
She made me nervous, made my anxiety spike and my heart pound.
She was trouble.
--Marcie's POV
I could feel the awkwardness in the room. It shifted thickly, uncomfortably pronouncing its self for all to see. She didn't want me here, that was noticeable from the door way but now as I sat here not bothering her I couldn't see the problem.
I was innocently watching a move and here she is treating me like I'm a murderer.
"Is there a problem?" I turn my head to catch her staring at me and I can't help but be angry with her. She's shocked at lost for words as a sense of confusion flashes in her eyes."N-no just you make me uncomfortable." Her eyes shift around nervously as she plays with her knuckles.
"I make you uncomfortable? I didn't even do anything. If you'd like me to leave Ronnie please just say so."
"No your fine...stay."
When I drifted off to sleep i have no idea somewhere in between season 3 of friends and valentines day.
